Nice and easy to reroll the hose after use And easy to get it out too. After a few months use it hasn’t leaked at any point and was I think good value. Recommended

First, thank all of you that answered my question, much appreciated. I settled on buying this as I have ra and other disabilities (it was this or the fast reel, but reading reviews and realising you couldn't open it to replace with a new hose if needed, along with the fact it was very expensive and was not 'auto reel', it become a no no). This free standing hose hit the spot as not much to assemble to be honest. Watched the video and just took my time. I did have issues unreeling the hose after unboxing from the huge cardboard box it arrived in, it somehow had got a bit tangled and yes, did leave me in more pain, but after that? not a problem at all. - nice smart grey and orange/yellow 'hose box', nice yellow hose and a perfect length if you need more hose. It came with all the bits and pieces needed, which I checked first before putting it together - does include screws and a wall bracket - which was a bonus considering I ordered the fee standing version, just nice to know that it can be attached to the wall if required. Video and instructions printed on the box easy to follow. Winding handle is good, but, I will need to wrap some wool around the very small gap where the handle attaches to the main winding arm, as it kept pinching the skin between thumb and finger - other than that? winds well with the help also of moving the thingy jig that allows the hose to be reel more evenly, found it hard, but all in all, small price to pay. (bear in mind, lots of things are harder if you spend much of your time in a w.chair and in a lot of pain constantly) It attached to the brass connecter that I got for my outdoor tap perfectly. (used to use it on my indoor mixer tap, where I have the adapter bought long ago, but fixes great to a single mixer tap if you haven't got an outdoor tap, plus easy to find and buy and fit on your tap), but, I will probably continue using it on the outdoor tap. Was considering buying a new spray gun as my one is broken, but to be honest, the spray 'gun' that is supplied does a good job for what I want. All in all, a really good hose, pretty easy to assemble, slightly larger hose box than my really old hoselock one and a bit heavier, but smart looking and does the job - hope it lasts and hope this review maybe helps others.

I had an old Hozelock wall mounted hose for 7+ years, but over time the plastic had become faded and brittle and it was leaking water badly - trying to open up the brittle case it cracked, so I had to purchase a new one. The other reviews were unclear whether this was assembled or not, in a nut shell you need to: take cardboard insert out, remove all the extra attachments from inside, measure up screws for wall mounting, unwind the full hose, fix the wall mounting, run water from the hose that is fully unwound, and then wind the hose back in. I didn't want to spend £90 again, so I got this cheaper version: Pros: - Easy to install IF YOU WATCH THE YOUTUBE VIDEO FIRST - Relatively compact - Easy to wind in and out (much easier than my older version as the hose is lighter/cheaper quality - It doesn't have an auto-rewind mechanism, but the manual slider works really well - Comes with all the wall mounting fixtures needed, and this works well. - It will be easy to unclip this from the wall and put in the shed over the winter months. Cons: - the paper instructions are not great, and it would be easy to mess up the assembly if you didn't watch the Youtube video - comes with a cheap nozzle (if you're replacing an existing hose then you're likely to have a better nozzle anyway, but if not you will need to buy one) I thought the packaging was strange as it had no delivery box from Amazon, it was just in bubble-wrap, but this protected it, and there was no damage.

We purchased this Hoselock 2-in-1 Compact Enclosed Hose Reel with 25 m Hose and Connectors to replace our tired old hose reel that we have had for several years, but was starting to leek and on occasion fall apart and soak you at the most inconvenient times. The new Hoselock arrived very well packed and as I was unpacking it I was feeling a bit uneasy about assembling it as a few of the reviews that I read had indicated that it was a bit difficult to assemble. I did however look at YouTube where the manufacturers had uploaded a video with a step by step guide on how to assemble the complete reel. As it turned out the whole thing was assembled in a matter of no time as the instructions that are supplied are quite explicit and I don't think any one should have any difficulty, that is if you follow the instruction to the letter. A little tip hear is to sort out exactly where you are going to mount the hoselock reel prior to fitting the handle, as I made the mistake of putting it all together before I had even thought about where I was going to mount it. As things turned out there was not a problem, but if I had to change the handle from one side to the other then there would have been a problem. But you must consider what side of the reel that you require the handle that is used to reeling the hose back onto the reel after you have finished with it, if you are right handed then it should go on the correct side and vice versa. I must say that in the past when I have considered buying one of these Hoselock reels I always thought that they were a little expensive, but in reality they are a first rate well thought out hose and reel system that will save you time and money. Plus the ability to screw it to a wall and be able to quickly release it from the quick release brackets is excellent, as well as the complete set of fittings you are supplied with for connecting it to the tap and the adjustable detachable nozzle end is first rate. Also it has a stop valve at the end of the hose where you clip the nozzle into and you can release the nozzle from the end of the hose with the water on and no water is released. I have been using the hose on a regular basis for the last 3 months and there is not a leak or a drop of water spilt from this hose system, the nozzle can be adjusted to let out exactly the amount of water that you require i.e. the smallest amount for watering individual small pots or to full bore for rinsing the car off and all variations in-between. The nozzle can be shut of with the full pressure of water turned on at the tap and you can pull as much off from the reel as you wish without worrying about water leaking. There are no leaks at all from this Hoselock system and all I can say is that it is excellent value for money, it is very practical and without doubt a very well thought out system and highly recommended. I have updated this review just to say that I recently purchased a small Kartcher pressure washer and I was very pleased to find that the end of the hose attachment simply clipped onto the Kartcher water inlet, another bonus point to this excellent Hoselock compact reel.

Great quality, too many parts to assemble though. Takes a bit of time but when you put it together it’s good. Wish it had a retractable hose instead of manually winding it

Wel goed apparaat. Alleen die slang spuit de eerste minuten heel veel schuim. Zonde van al dat water. Na jaren nog steeds dat schuim (durven de planten dan geen water te geven).

Conforme à la description. Il faut être délicat pour le ré-enroulage et guider le tuyau. Tous les connecteurs sont bien étanches. Je trouve intéressant le produit 2 en 1 (on peut utiliser l'enrouleur ailleurs en cas de besoin ou le rentrer pour l'hiver).

Good system, however we have and still have a previous model where the hose return automatically guides the hose back and forth across the reel to ensure the hose does not bunch up on one side of the reel. On this model you need to move the guide with one hand whilst you are winding the hose up with your second hand and with your third hand, ensure the hose does not kink or twist as it enters the reel. Hopefully it will prove to be a durable system like its predecessor.
