Q: Is the water affected by heat?

Probably. Stuff like this should be stored out of direct sunlight, but as its an emergency product I can't see normal heat affecting it to much (normal heat being 10-40C) Honestly, I don't think the product is worth the price, using bottled water and replacing it every year or two would probably be better (and cheaper)

Q: What's the Expiry date?

I bought mine in 11/2014.It had a manufacture date of 09/2014, and an expiry date of 08/2019 (five years).

Q: does the water retain its shelf life if it freeze's in its packaging and thaws out...?

Iam not sure I don't think I would freeze it in case changes the structure of the contence or the packaging. We brought some fresh fish and it was wrapped in a foil pack the fishmonger said to remove the outer foil packaging if we were going to put it in the freezer as the lamination breaks down. Hope it helps.

Q: Anyone else find it had a funny, plasticy taste? That normal?
