Beauty, Hygge and Practicality
Bear with me - I had inherited several Earlys of Witney pure wool blankets, a many centuries old and formerly the best blanket mill in the country or the world, and in my ingnorance had thrown them away, thinking them, oh the stupidity, a little scratchy. Having kept one of them I soon realised how lovely pure wool blankets are, one never gets too hot with them and they insulate perfectly and last for over a century if my family’s are anything to go by.So when I saw these blankets, I had hope my idiocy could be amended. The blanket is beautiful and looks stylish and extremely cosy and homely. It feels just like the Earlys of Witney blankets, washes the same, ie well on a cool wool wash with lots of fabric conditioner and soap nuts. We all admire it and prefer it to a goose down duvet, as one simply doesn’t over heat, it is light and has a comforting and soothing olde worlde charm. It’s rather decorative and I intend to buy more for fireside sofas and chairs to bring an atmosphere of hygge during the winter months. The dog also has covetous eyes on it. It’s a beautiful thing.

Great price for such a large blanket
Bought one for use as a picnic blanket (and probably to wrap up in on winter nights). Size is correct, 150cm × 180cm. You can't choose your colours, so I was resigned to getting something garish and just accepting it, but I got lucky and got one I like.As with any wool you'll want to wash and air it before use; mine's dry now and checking it over I can't find any faults with the construction. It's dropping fibres as all new rough wool does; I expect it'll settle down with use and will update this review if it doesn't. Definitely recommended if you're after a big heavy wool blanket and don't want to pay a lot.

Happy bunny here! (Warm one too)
This is nice. Mostly used doubled over as a top cover in my hammock where it's perfect at this time of the year - keeps me nice and warm overnight without getting sweaty-hot :)Not sure if I've worn the initial scratchiness away or if I've simply stopped noticing it now, but either way I'm happy.Update Jan 2020:Still warm, still happy. It does benefit from the Snugpak Jungle Blanket over the top once the temp. drops, but the two together make a very effective sleep system. The photo was taken about a month after my original review, you can just make out the blanket to the left of the waist strap of my rucksack. The photo was more a record of my urban 'stealth' camp than a picture of the blanket so apologies for it not showing the blanket very clearly. But I woke up warm, cosy and refreshed after a good night's kip, and had a nice chat with a baby robin that was about 3 feet away and very interested in my first coffee of the morning!

Very warm, large rugs for an excellent price - made in the UK
Really good quality item at an excellent price. We got a few of these to share with guests on our outdoor seating as the temperature drops. They are very warm, I just wish we'd had more chances with the weather! You can't pick the colours but all the rugs we've received (have ordered twice) have looked great. Impressed these are recycled and made in the UK.

Superb value.....!
From a price point of view these blankets just can't be beaten.Yes they are a bit 'itchy', but not uncomfortably so. The colours are wonderful in my opinion. You can't specify colours, but I ordered 2 blankets, 1 as a gift and 1 for myself, and I was more than pleased with the supplied blankets.I have 2 vintage Welsh blankets and these recycled wool blankets certainly complement them really well.Check out the prices of vintage blankets online and you will find these can be 10% of the price. These blankets would make superb gifts and I certainly would recommend them to anyone.Just buy one and find out for yourself.....!

All in all a great buy, would definitely recommend.
Lovely quality and by chance completely suits the colours in my living room. Admired by everyone and looks much more expensive than it was. Another reviewer commented on the scratchy feel and mine has this quality but really it's part of the charm. I also have a Donegal wool blanket which was really expensive, although I've probably had it for a good 15 years now, and has the same rustic woollen texture. Be warned that pets really love the proper wool and become quite possessive over the blankets. Also, I've washed it in the machine several times now - against the instructions (!!) but it came out fine in a 30 degree wash. All in all a great buy, would definitely recommend.

Great value and unique
I had been looking for a blanket which I could put on the bed, and liked the idea of getting a blanket that was made from recycled wool. As explained by the vendor, one doesn't know what colours will be used in the blanket as it is dependent on the colour of recycled wool etc. But I was very fortunate to receive a blanket with various 'greens' running through through the tartan design (see attached images) as it complimented my existing blanket - which is a light green colour. Well recommended!

Light but warm
I wasn’t expecting too much from this blanket. But it surpassed those expectations by far.It has a lovely colour palette and whilst quite thin, it was surprisingly warm.I would probably have preferred a hemmed edge, but this is a minor thing and is down to personal preference which does not detract from its score. If you want a blanket for your bed, I’d suggest the next size up. But for a throw say, you will be very happy with one of these.
