This new silicon keyboard cover is awesome. I used it to replace the one that I have had for 2 years that was having issues. So far this one is perfect. It fits my macbook pro keyboard and has handy short cuts and bright gray key colors. Overall I really like it. I am trying to protect the original keys.

This thing is AWESOME. If you have ever wanted to know short cuts with a precise fit for your keyboard, look no further. Great texture, easy to install(even a caveman can do it), and simple to clean. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I thought that the skin would mess with my typing proficiency, but it doesn't. It types great. Feels very soft to the hands. The only issue, I would have JCPal address is if they can make the letters see through, so that I can see the keys at night. That addition would make this product a 10/10, for now my rating is 9/10.

It does offers great keyboard protection, but it can leave imprints on your screen (even if you continuously clean it…) great value, great fit. I owned mine for almost a year until I got rid of it because I liked how the original keyboard felt, typed, and because I learned the shortcuts :)It was sticky when first putting it on my keyboard, and it stayed in place, but after a long while of taking it off and cleaning it every so often, it would kind of just “sit” on the keyboard itself if that makes sense. Not like it’s falling off, or it doesn’t stay in place, but it would sit on the keys.Sometimes there would be a little movement, or small “humps” in the space between your keyboard and the cover, but that’s after about a year of owning it and taking it off and cleaning it throughout its lifespan.It’s rubbery/silicone like in texture but not distractingly so. It does “muffle” or quiet the typing of the keys compared to the regular keyboard on the MacBook, the keys are “clackier” but not in an annoying way. With the keyboard cover it’s more suppressed. For an example: tap your fingernails against the wall then tap your fingernails on the page of a book. That’s what it’s like. Have fun

I'm legendary for spilling drinks onto my keyboards and laptops. This has saved yet another blunder, this time it was orange juice! It's thin, has a great texture, mutes key strokes, and is barely noticeable. Although it is no crystal clear, it is a transparent haze with a matte finish.

Pro: Having not had an Apple computer since the Apple II in the 80’s this is great for learning keyboard shortcuts. On MacBook Pro M4Con: When you need a backlit keyboard you have to remove this. The characters on the map pretty effectively block the backlighting. That’s about the only drag. I would not buy it again.Recommendation to MFG: instead of having the white characters on the mat, make the areas clear so backlighting shines through then it’s not necessary to remove for night use.Update: removed one star because the print on the cover doesn’t line up with the keys so you get double vision looking at the keys, it’s distracting and kind of kills the entire max aesthetic.
