Doubled the carrying capacity of my 17 year old sub-compact sedan
I was admittedly a bit dubious about this purchase, but 2000 miles later it has proven itself. Granted, I did not trust the built-in straps and buckles, so I used a set of ratchet straps criss-crossed diagonally over the top for good measure, and would definitely recommend the same for anyone, but the bag itself survived the journey with no show of wear aside from the thousands of insects splattered on and underneath it.I mounted the 21 cubic foot version atop a 2008 Hyundai Accent sedan. I was perhaps a little overenthusiastic buying the 21 instead of the 15... I had to take off my car's rear antenna and and was not able to initially mount it 8" from the top of the windshield as the instructions state. Roughly halfway through my trip, the bag had started to noticeably slip back. I only started to get concerned during the final couple of hours when it had pushed itself that recommended 8" away from the windshield. So, if you're desperate, the 21 cubic feet works okay on a smaller vehicle with the addition of ratchet straps for almost exactly 2k miles and no more. If you're not desperate for the space, probably go with the 15 cubic feet.I cannot speak for the waterproofness, as it was extremely hot and dry for my entire trip.

Great bargain and space saver
We took this on a roadtrip and drove with it for a total of 8 hours, it held up really well.We only have running bars on our Jeep and I was worried about it sliding back and forth while driving but it did not budge. We did not use the anti-slip mat per other reviewers recommendation, I did wash the roof of my car to remove dust/dirt before placing it and opted to also use a tow strap for a little extra security.Definitely held plenty of stuff - we were able to pack 1 large and 2 medium suitcases, 2 backpacks, a tent, and 4 folding camp chairs. Totally worth the price to free up some extra car space, it also folds into a small bag so it’s easy to store when not in use.

Spacious and Functional, but Better for Side Rails
This rooftop cargo carrier held up great during our trip. It’s very spacious and kept everything secure and dry even through a rainstorm. The straps are sturdy, and I like that it comes with everything needed: reinforced straps, door hooks, a luggage lock, and a black topper mat. That said, the mat came off mid-drive, which was a bit frustrating. Installation took some time and felt a little finicky. It definitely seems like it would perform better with side rails rather than just parallel bars. With a bit of adjusting, though, it still worked for us.

LOVEDDD IT!!!
This was a life saver for camping with our family. I purchased the 15 cubic feet bag. I was able to fit 3 tents, a hammock, 4 chairs, my kids blankets, pillows and more. Assembly was easy peasy (and I'm just a girl 😂 ) and it held up doing 70+ mph without budging. When we got to camp we took the bag off and used the hooks and bungee cords to transport floaties back and forth from the river. This was probably the smartest and best purchase I made for our camp trip. It did not rain so I can not speak to the waterproof abilities.

An inexpensive Must for Traveling!!!
This was one of the best purchases I’ve made on Amazon! It was a struggle to find something decent for my 2024 Bronco Sport with vertical bars, no horizontal bars. I packed this bag completely full for moving from Arizona to Michigan ; PS5, 2 people worth of clothes, 30 books, various canvas paintings, various boxes, a carry-on luggage case full of computer equipment. During the 2000 mile trip, the straps never once became loose, nor did any tears form on the bag. My only gripe is the lock included for the zipper; it immediately broke after the first use, but the zippers stayed shut the entire time. I am use to driving my Vette so road noise is something I’ve grown accustomed to; that being said it was still way quieter driving the Bronco with that big bag. Thanks for a great product!!!

Solid bag
This worked well for us. Material is solid and waterproof (always be sure to have the zipper in the back and flaps down and velcroed. Can hold a good amount. We installed in cross bars, and had an issue with shifting that led it to tap on the roof, but managed to adjust everything, and on the ride home we had no issue (aside from the wond catching the straps and at timed sounding like bees on the roof.) We like having the ease of just adding the bag when needed, vs. a rack or hard-top.At the start of the trip, I packed it with the bag on the roof, which was tricky because of limited reach. However, we found two of us could pull down the secured bag, and so at the end of the trip we loaded and then lifted the filled bag in place. This all depends on the weight of what you've loaded, but packing is definitely easier on the ground. The one issue we had was the zipper can catch the interior orange material, and for a while it seemed it would never budge or we would break the zipper. Fortunately, we got it free, and were very careful zipping after.

Well-built soft-top cargo carrier (15L)
This is a well-built soft-top cargo carrier (15L) and easily works well with my SUV: 2019 Ford Escape with no roof rails or rack. Using the self-attached webbing loops that hooks to the car/window frame is easy. Drove a big summer 800 mile (roundtrip) in my homestate of Alaska and this carrier worked great under diferent road conditions, intermittent weather (rain, downpours) and completly waterproof. There was no major shifting when taking unsudden turns or braking. Highly recommended!.

Let’s moisture in
We used this last week to go to Northern Utah. We drove through Nebraska where it was humid. By the time we got to Utah, some of the stuff inside was moist. Not just the outside of the hard shell suitcases but some of the clothes inside. We made sure everything was sealed up correctly before we left. The straps flap a bit but overall, nothing horrible. We had plenty of space for all of our stuff. It was fairly easy to getting it strapped to the car.My only complaint is the fact that some of our stuff got damp.
