Treasure Island: Annotated Edition. Illustrated by David Mackintosh (Alma Junior Classics)

This book was required reading for my sons 9th grade English class. He really loved this book and told be that everybody in the class enjoyed it too.

The tale of Treasure Island is a great one. It's complex and nuanced and very exciting! Also, this printing is really good. The layout is clear, the language is original, it is easy to read. If you are looking for a copy that you can actually read - this is your book.

Not a review of the book, which was good, but the printing of this edition. Nice text and illustrations beginning each chapter, but the binding is too tight so it takes more effort than it shouldn’t to hold this book pen while reading.

Es exactamente el libro de la isla del tesoro en inglés. Me descargué el audiolibro y ahora puedo seguirlo más fácilmente buscando las palabras que no entiendo. Además me encanta. Al final incluye alguna cosa como biografia, personajes, glosario y test.

Irgendwie interessant. Da liest man viele englischsprachigen Bücher und denkt sich, man nimmt die Schatzinsel als leichte Kindheitserinnerung mal eben mit und stellt dann fest, dass es ganz schön tricky ist. Man muss sich wirklich konzentrieren, um die alte Sprache und die Seemannsbegriffe richtig zu verstehen und zusammenzusetzen. Trotzdem lohnt es sich zu lesen und ist eigentlich ein Muss.
