Powerful VTX @ a poor mans price
This thing is GREAT.... good value for the POWER!!!! My visual range has improved and the MMCX connector is strong and sturdy! My first flight I flew it out where I took my old 200mw & was disappointed at 1st until I noticed I was only using 25mw. On my old VTX, I use to fly out until my video starts to static then I head back ..NOT with this vtx ....now I can fly until I FAILSAFE with a clear picture. I have had a few VTXs and this performs better than them all & at a cheaper price! Many are complaining about the signal loss/power but they are bench testing and NOT in the field using it. to produce this strong signal this little thing gets HOTTTT so it needs airflow to keep the temp down. I think when it is sitting on a bench test baking it scales back power so I doesn't FRY ....which is another good thing in the field because if you crash at 800mw you may need a little time to get to it ...so it scaling back the power when it gets too hot is a good way to save the VTX instead of finding your quad by the VTX making smoke signals!

Cable that was included shoddy! Video cut mid flight. Transmitter itself preforms well though.
Transmitter itself works wall and I don't have any problem with it, easy to adjust channels, bands, and transmission strength with a single button. Puts out a strong video feed, and the whip tail means you get a lot of freedom where to place your antenna.Don't really notice any clear gain in transmission distance from 200mW to 800mW. I just run it in 200mW mode now to save power and to spare the thing from all the extra heat it makes in 800mW mode.Puts out a ton of heat in it's higher output modes so just be aware if you're programming your quad on your desk/bench with a battery in it will need to be switched down to 25mW or have a fan put on it, otherwise it will fry.Had it for a couple of weeks when it suddenly cut video mid flight. Hit my auto level landing sequence button and saved the quad luckily. After flight inspection turned up the on board JST connector being wonky. Power to the board would cut if the cable was put at the wrong angle. I didn't have any replacement 6 pin JSTs sitting around, so to continue using the VTX I was forced to remove the connector entirely and solder my wiring directly to the transmitter.

Great VTX for price...
I've had no issues with this VTX concerning range or over heating. It's easy to mount as well. I could only give 4 stars because the antenna that came in the package with it CANNOT be screwed in. It's missing threads or something, so I had to soldier it...

Junk
Bought one of these awhile ago and just put it on a build. The fpv feed was terrible, checked all the usual stuff, nothing. Then I got to looking at the board. Look at the product photo and see how the mmcx connector is soldered. Now go look at a picture of a real vtx and see how that mmcx is soldered. Your actually paying enough to these guys to get a decent vtx if you look around. I own a couple of whoop aio cameras from these guys but I would never buy anything from them again.Garbage...

Awesome products but they can use some better instructions.
This has become my go to VTX, I have both the wolfwhoop VTX and FC in 2 of my builds. They are an amazing value for the money. I was a confused at first because the installation instructions are not the best, I connected the VTX and FC with the supplied cable thinking that was all that needed to be done but I had no picture. I ended up direct connecting the power and video wires to the FC and that solved the issue. I really wish it was as simple as plugging in a wire but it was not difficult. Where this VTX shines is performance, I have a field that is 366 yards long and my other VTX start to brake up at that range. With this VTX on 800mhz I feel confident in going further than that and I only have slight brake up when going behind a tree to turn around. I also have a drive way through some woods and can fly down it while in my field with some pretty dense trees in the way. One thing I did notice is on my last flights I had a very clear picture but my DVR was distorted, I have not tried the DVR on another quad since then but I'm assuming its on my goggles since I had a loose power wire.

Works good, but gets very hot, could cause failure.
I will be installing my 2nd one next week. The 1st one did well for about a month, then it just didn't come on again. They get pretty hot, and other reviewers have said the same thing. I will amend this review once I've had time to use the 2nd one for a while.

SMS connector is way to long but maybe not so bad
UpdateI've been flying this one in a 130mm, 3" drone for a while and I have to say I really like itI replaced the included straight ipx connector with a right angle one. There are plenty here on Amazon. I love how easy it is to mount and how well the smart audio works.Upgraded to 4 stars. If it came with a better cable I would give it 5 stars. Also, recommendation to the manufacturer. In stead of a fragile plug give us solder pads to solder directly to.Original review.Cable connector s straight instead of 90 degrees. Leaves the fragile connector way to exposed in a crash.
