This review is for the Abbeville Press edition of "Little Women." As classic books like "Little Women" are no longer under copyright, a lot of companies are printing editions geared toward the burgeoning "beautiful books" market with artistic covers, but once you're past the "pretty cover," the overall quality can leave something to be desired. This is a well-made and substantial edition of "Little Women," with an interesting introduction about the history of Little Women illustrators (with examples of their work), and illustrations by Clara Burd throughout. I have only skimmed it, but I didn't notice any typos. One flaw is the font is rather small, but otherwise, it's an excellent choice for those looking to add a well-made, illustrated, "beautiful book" edition of "Little Women" to their home library.

I bought this book for my granddaughter’s 10th birthday because Little Women was my favorite book as a child, and I wanted her to experience the same wonder I did. This is a gorgeous new edition of Little Women! It looks and feels like a timeless classic book should! The cover is beautiful and substantial. The printing and color plates are lovely.I purchased this edition after searching, in vain, both in-person and online, for a truly gift-worthy, high quality edition of Little Women. After actually handling many editions, even the new 150 Year Anniversary editions, I had nearly given up hope of finding a new copy that met my criteria. I was even looking at used copies when I came upon this edition as a pre-order on Amazon.This is the edition of Little Women I was looking for! As a wonderful addition to your personal library or as a gift, this is the most beautiful option out there! It’s a little more expensive than most other editions, but you will not be disappointed!

This was my favorite book when I was young, and I am giving this edition to my 11-year-old great-niece in the hopes that she will love it too. I also want her to love the look and feel of real books, as opposed to e-books. The beauty of his edition will help.

It is one of a kind, beautiful book to keep.I saw the old movie with Peter Lawford, Liz Taylor and the other actresses that I loved so much. Love the story.
