Q: Mine leaked. Instructions don’t say anything about plumbers putty. For those of you who did use it, did you also use the rubber washers?

I removed the top rubber washer and used plumbers putty there instead. I did leave the bottom rubber washer. I also made sure to Teflon tape absolutely all of the threads. It hasn’t leaked for me.

Q: Does the stopper - the part seen moving up/down inside the sink - unscrew? I pull hair plugs with extra long crochet hook - need top access!

The plug which is moving up / down inside the sink, can be unscrewed by turning it in anti-clockwise direction. It is screwed on, can be removed from the top without uninstall the whole product. Q: What gage metal is used for the drain pipe?

Dear Customer, the tail piece is made from 304 stainless steel and the main drain body is made from Brass. Thank you for your question, I hope I answered your question or concern.

Q: What size is the pivot ball nut?

Don't know. But it is standard for this type of fixture. The nut from my previous fixture fit this one. I did need to use a longer pivot rod but needed to use the ball from the included rod. The balls are just pressed on and can be easily removed if needed.
