2GB kit (1GBx2) Upgrade for a HP - Compaq Pavilion dv6000 Series System (DDR2 PC2-5300, Non-ECC,)

At first, my HP laptop would not start up, and gives four beeps. Then I took out the battery, and hold the power button for 15 seconds to reset the laptop hardware settings. Then reseat the 2GB kit. Then the laptop starts. Now it is running relatively faster than when I only has one GB.

The price was right for this item and arrived very quickly after the order was placed. Product is easy to install-it took only 15-20 minutes (YouTube videos helpful). Does speed up the computer but not as fast as I thought it was going to.

Definite improvement of performance by going from one gig to two gig of RAM.However, I wish I can say something good about the laptop HP dv6000.

Not sure if it has improved things or not, but seems to have gotten rid of some minor problems that were occurring.

The item arrived in the mail wrapped in bubble wrap. No instructions included. After opening the ccmputer and figuring out how to remove the old memory, I had to figure out how to install the new memory. When I did figure it out I installed the new memory cards, doubling the original memory.Adding this additional memory solved many problems I was having. The computer now works almost like new. In the end, I accomplished what I want4ed to do and I am well pleased with this purchase from Amazon.

I didn't like it because I misled. I thought (from the advertisement) it was a 2gb ram not 2 ram of 1GB each.I thought the advertising was a bit vague.

My expertise doesn’t entail enough technical knowledge as to deliver a tech-savvy review. Ordered these to upgrade an older HP dv6000. The memory arrived quickly, perfectly protected, and fit the laptop as expected. The full memory (doubling the previous capacity) was instantly recognized by the OS and did indeed significantly improve the laptop’s performance (for basic use; not heavy game use.) Unrelated to the product review, dealing with A-Tech Components, the third party seller which sold the memory through Amazon, was excellent and courteous.

Wrong part ordered, went through the procces to return for my money bac. Sent the parts back, they returned the same parts that I cant use.
