This product came with two toner cartridges in a box. they were a seemless replacement from the original cartrige when I purchased my laser jet pro 4001 printer. they were wrapped in plastic and had several tabs that were in place to protect the cartridges from leaking toner in transit. It took me less than a minute to replace my old cartridge with the new one and the printer worked perfectly the first try
