This is not an audiophile grade speaker stand, but very functional just the same. The speaker on the table weighs almost 60 lbs. and it feels stable. I wouldn’t push on it from the sides, but it’s stable.Assembly: I don’t recall what the directions say, but with the second table I:1. Lay the table top upside down on a table and assembled from there.2. Put the screws half way into the legs and the table top first.3. Partially screw the shelf in place.4. Insert the back fencing into the holes.5. Tighten everything down.

Comes with the tools needed to put it together.OVERALLVery clean looking. The feet are adjustable so that you can level it so it doesn't wobble. Excellent solution for where you need to keep your remotes handy. Or a potted plant. The wood is veneer, so it's not real hardwood. But, it looks good.

I chose this because it fit a space. Also the design looked simple so it would be easy to assemble.All the holes lined up, took about 5 minutes of study and 20 min of labor, a third hand will be helpful. Instructions are : step 1, attach bottom then step 2, attach top. I received 1 extra screw.It holds phone equipment and a Bell HH3000 modem. Not sure I'd put anything really heavy on it.
