Q: Using the specified 10 ft main bottom beam, and 6ft long end upright beams, what would be the longest hammock I could string?

I bought two 4x4x8 posts and one 4x4x10. I used one 4x4x8 post for the bottom and cut the other 4x4x8 in half for the two legs. I used the 4x4x10 for the arms to connect the hammock. I cut the 4x4x10 in half for the 5" arms. The distance at the top from post to post is 14' 6". This accommodates my 13' hammock. I used eye bolts and S hooks to attach the hammock. Hope this helps
