Easy to Fit
This was bought at the suggestion of the water board, as a sub meter to use for the garden and save on summer water charges. It is situated inside the garage and pipes are lagged ready for winter. It works perfectly (see before and after testing figures). Great item, can recommend.

Purchased HYDROBIL water meterlast year, but found a leak from face of meter + falling to bits
On removing the Meter from the outside wall I noticed a tiny spring fall out together with a small mushroom shaped piece of plastic with a rubber washer fitted at the top.I cannot determine where this fitment came from as the only obvious place (apart from coming from inside of the unit) is a very fine plastic arrangement inside one of the attaching pipe extenders that will not move, but has a matching hole into which the end of the mushroom valve would appear to fit if it were possible to remove the plastic, and capture it within the frame; the spring would also be trapped within this unit, and would allow the valve to pulse with water pressure. This as I explained is pure conjecture as I am un able to fix the problem. Neither have I any idea where the leak is coming from.IT WOULD SEEM ThAT THIS METER IS A WASTE OF MONEY.

Good and easy
We use for out side and was easy to fit and now saving us money as not paying for drainage on this water. Should have bought it years ago

Should save some money off my water bill.
Great price temp fit using hose connections so I can bring it in for winter and cheaper than getting a plumber in.A must buy for anyone who wants to cut costs. Will not be a massive saving but every penny counts in these tight times.Great price very well made fast service and 5 year warranty, could not ask for more.Many thanks RB

Its good for out door but units are hard to underatand

Issue after 15 months
This has worked fine since purchase and has helped save money on drainage charges. However a couple of days ago I turned the tap on and no water came out. We’ve not changed anything and water is coming out of kitchen taps etc. I can’t see how to contact the company on the Amazon page advertising this item, but I’m guessing the water meter has something to do with stopping the water coming out of the tap.
