Been using it every week for 5 years (3 years, fully loaded to 140lbs), and it's still holding up
Realized I never reviewed this. I bought the 120lb version with shoulder pads in 2017 when it was on sale cheaper than the 100lb. If you're going to load the vest up, you WANT the shoulder pads. Trust me.Don't know about the lighter versions, but the 140lb version has pockets for cast iron weights. The vest was shipped unloaded, with the weights in a separate cardboard box (that wasn't really sturdy enough).I started with the vest loaded to about 40lbs, and slowly worked my way up to the fully loaded 140lbs over the course of 2 years.Nowadays, I use this vest for doing things like goblet squats and calf raises, farmer carries with dumbbells etc. What can I say? It's held up to being used in workouts every single week for 5 years, with the past 3 years fully loaded to its 140lbs max, and it's still holding up just fine. The extra weights are available through MIR (the cast iron weights that came with the vest are stamped 'MIR'. When I worked up to the 120lbs and needed more weights to fill the remaining pockets for the full 140lbs, Amazon had a sale on the MIR Runner's vest with 55lbs of weights for about the same price as just buying the weights, so I bought that. I loaded this vest to the full 140lbs and use the 35lb Runner's vest for running and pull-ups).It takes a while for your shoulders to get used to the weight. Every time I added weight, my shoulders would ache. I was definitely glad for the shoulder pads, distributing that load over a wider area. The upside is that by the time I got used to training with the 140lb vest, hiking with a 65lb properly adjusted backpack was easy. With 2/3rds of the backpack's weight being supported by the hip belt, there's only ~22lbs on my shoulders. Where my shoulders would be sore in the past from hiking with that much weight, after training with the 140lbs vest (where ALL the weight is on my shoulders), the pack feels like a feather pillow.

It does exactly what it’s designed to do
The weights are a bit tough to get in the pouches so insert them before you put it on.My only trouble is if you load it heavy, you will have some trouble getting is on.

I like this weight vest...
Good quality and well constructed. It would be best to start off with moderate weight when initially using it...say 20 to 30 pounds. I use for stair running and bear crawls. The shoulder pads offer minimal if any true benefit/comfort.The metal bars fit snugly in the pockets, so they are a bit difficult to take in and out...

Much better than what l expected
Best thing l ever bought. Love it. Thanks for making this. I bought a 120 lbs and did a 5 mile walk with it and it is damn good workout.

Great, versatile product.
Great for body weight exercises. Remember to start light and build up weight if you plan on wearing it a long time. Give your joints time to get used to the prolonged weight. Also great for once in a hundred year pandemics.

No Weighting!
Once the weights are in place, easy to put on and go out the door for a quick workout.
