I Installed the the Rohent R1 Camera Kit in my Silverado truck to use as a front view/parking camera. This area is otherwise invisible because of the size of the front of the truck.I am very pleased with it. I have tried other makes and models that I have returned. This system is very easy to install, and extremely flexible allowing for differing installation options and functional uses.It does not have the highest resolution or the best night vision, but it more than makes up for these slight shortcomings with the following features:The camera itself is adaptable for front/side viewing or rear viewing. Rear view cameras reverse images to imitate traditional rearview mirror views. Since I wanted a front view, this eliminated many of the systems out there which cannot adapt. I am also planning a front-side view install in the future.This monitor allows for two separate video inputs. Different inputs can be selected automatically depending on the set-up power options.If you only want one camera, only one power source is necessary. Most systems require a separate power source for the camera and monitor.The lighter/power plug has a built in switch allowing you to turn the monitor on and off from your dashboard.The monitor is small enough not to take up valuable cabin space and large enough to get the job done. It is clear and stable and crisp enough to be seen even with bright light streaming into the truck. This is not true of others I have tried.As a result of the above I have given this item five stars. The reasonable price and excellent customer service are icing on the cake.

I installed this in my 30 year old truck. The installation was easy (wired it to the reverse light) and the camera angle and clarity are great.

This backup camera is very nice. The monitor has a crisp, clear picture. Grid lines are adjustable and can be turned on or off. The install was very easy. Nearly plug and play. Very happy with my purchase.

Really nice camera and monitor, can't beat it for the price. I was able to turn the monitor's mounting pedestal 180 degrees and hang it from the roof of the hole between the power outlets on my 4Runner's console. Also, the back of the monitor is flat, which makes it easier to mount it with velcro or double-stick tape as an option. The infrared LED's on the camera work great at illuminating what's behind you, and the picture quality is good. The camera's field of view (FOV) measures 70 degrees horizontal, 56 vertical, and 90 diagonal, not 135 degrees as stated. This may be fine, depending upon personal preference. My other backup camera (Natika) has a true 170 FOV, and it makes things that are just 12 inches from my bumper look like they're 6 feet away. The FOV on the DohonesBest camera makes it easy to judge distance, I just wish the view was a little bit wider. I wired the camera and monitor to be on while driving, with the camera mounted to the back of my cargo trailer. The only cons are that the monitor is a bit bright when night driving, and monitor settings such as brightness and contrast are reset back to defaults when powered off. I'm thinking of either hacking the monitor's backlight and adding a manual brightness control, or making a flap from some window tinting film to darken the display at night. It's still a nice kit for the price, and I'd recommend it.

This backup camera works great with my Infiniti I35. Wiring it was relativley straightforward -- just using the included tools to attach the power cable to the tailight cable. The instruction manual provides two videos showing how to install it. The second video shows how to attach it to the tail-light. By default, after wiring it to the tailight, it has power, and will turn on when you select reverse on the transmission. If it's dark outside, the LED camera light will automatically turn on. There are other options the first video includes to reverse "mirror" the video if you want to use it as a front facing dash cam; also, you can disable the automatic night-sensing camera light. However, by default, I kept these settings unchanged, since a backup camera is supposed to be mirrored to match the image orientation the actual car mirrors portray. If you attach the power cable to the tailight cable using the attachment tool, you won't need to plug it in to the car's inside power.All things considered for the price this Rohent backup camera is a great deal.

I have a small box van and a back up camera is essential. This is perfect. Set up was simple. I choose the push button install. Picture is very clear. The LED light around the camera is bright at night. I couldn't see it during the day but at night it is bright. I'm sure it would be illegal to have on at night.

It came with a defective screen. One of the corners had dead pixels spot - about a quarter inch square. Returning it and getting a new one seemed like too big of a hassle, so I kept it. Once installed it works ok, but it was not that easy to install. You need to be handy to install. I had to drill a hole for the cable behind the license plate and then route the cables through the car body. I also faced an issue with getting the lines on the screen. In the documentation is not clear that only one of the AV cables will show the lines. The screen does not stick well to the car surface and it falls off easily. I guess, the quality is ok for product, which only costs about $40.

The best item I ever bought. Super easy to install.The quality of the picture, the backup camera are like HD. I'm very happy with this monitor and backup camera kit. I recommend to buy it.
