Stanley 0-30-697"Tylon" Tape Measure, Black/Yellow, 5 m/19 mm

This is a great metric only tape. I don't like measuring with fractions. So I switched to metric for some handyman jobs.

I wanted a metric tape measure and this one is a good value. The quality is on par with imperial versions.

Use at work! Works good. Measurements are correct. Looks and feels sturdy. Accurate and use it re program pre collision radars. Tape feels like its gonna last me YEARS!

I do a lot of design for 3D printing which I CAD in metric. My micrometer only measures up to about 150mm but I often need to measure things I’m CADing so I can print replacement parts or for designing wood working jigs. Got tired of measuring imperial and converting. Love having this around.

What a great little tape (I got the 5 meter). I went to my local hardware store and they had no metric tapes, not even combined. It was all inches. I did a lot of Amazon searching before I found this one. Stanley makes a great tape. My 25 foot tape is Stanley, so I trusted the name. This is my first metric tape, but probably not my last. I might pick up the 8 meter in the future.

I wish these were easier to get in the US, but it's metric and now I can measure the 90% of stuff that I own that isn't made in this backwards country. Metric tape measures are essential in this global market place if you want to do fabrication or 3d printing. Conversations can only get you so far.It's accurate, but being so thin It bends at the 900mm mark. Good for arm reach stuff.

See image. It's going to be fine for purpose. I need a tape measurer I can put in a kit for measuring placement of a bike seat after shipping. It'll be fine. But I was amused that the case size measure, that which you use when measuring inside a corner for instance, was in SAE and not metric. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of the device.
