Iâm pretty impressed with everything - but not a fan of the âstandâ - howeverâŠ
This TV was ÂŁ100 more expensive the week before I bought it. So for what I consider to be an appropriate price for a TV of this spec PLUS a FREE RING DOOR BELL (worth ÂŁ90) was included⊠I couldnât resist! Delivery was quick too.Iâm used to using firesticks but I wouldnât say you have to be firestick savvy to set this up. Set-up was simple (and thatâs even with my Wifi being down at the time of set up. I used my phone data and personal hotspot to watch tv when I first got it, until my wifi was fixed).** I would recommend that people ALWAYS clear cache and check the memory left - settings / manage apps. There are many firestick groups on FB. Unfortunately the TV doesnât come with this sort of info and I feel itâs REALLY important (imperative in fact) that folks are made aware of how to maintain not only a firestick but a firestick tv.Itâs not hard to do. Join the firestick groups if you need further help. But meanwhile ensure youâre ALWAYS clearing cache app by app. Keep checking - from time to time - the memory left on your fire tv. It allows you to add external memory by way of USB memory stick.Screen mirroring using air play works perfectly. The sound is fabulous - i actually prefer it to the Sound Bar I was using with my previous - now defunct - Samsung tv which had s terrible tinny sound. All in all all Iâm happy. Iâm not a fan of the stand/base on this particular 43â model, but I got what I consider to the a great deal. Iâve still to try out my Ring Doorbell - and I had actually been considering getting one. So for me itâs a win win.Iâm enjoying using Alexa on it and Iâm also enjoying having a smart tv. However if youâve got a firestick (especially one with Alexa) linked to your existing tv, you are basically sitting with the same.My old tv died on me hence why I bought this. The picture is clear and you can feel youâre actually in the room on some pictures. If youâre used to a firestick remote, then thatâs pretty much what you get with this⊠if youâre not used to this, please note itâs a small remote compared to a ânormalâ tv remote. But it does all it needs to do.All in all Iâm happy. And this deal - no surprise - sold out fast!

Very good value TV that works as a panel for an external box
Picture quality is really very good once you turn off all the usual refresh rate interpolation puff and turn the sharpness down to a less eye fatiguing level. You don't need to log into Amazon to use this as a display for a separate box (e.g. fire stick or roku), this means it will last much longer than just the apps that can run on the unit.I have it attached mine to an AV receiver and a ROKU and have not needed to give the TV my wifi details. There's a brief nag / splash screen that shows if you turn it on before the AV receiver has woken up, but otherwise it just works via the external HDMI.The back of the TV case flexes a bit where I have attached it to a vesa mount, I think the supplied base would do the same too as that attaches to the same spot as the vesa mount, so that might cause a slight angle on the TV as the top hangs very slightly away from the wall. For the price this is an exceptional TV.

Early days but a really nice picture.
Update to the review the 50" TV arrived but after moving the TV a few feet when decorating the room the ariel connection fell clean off from the TV snapped, Went through toshiba for it to be fixed, they state that it wasnt covered by warranty and that it would have to be done privately beacuse it has been stress tested, well given that it must have been pretty badly stress tested as in all my years i've never know it to happen on any TV i've ever owned, So while the TV is decent in many ways the warranty terms are clearly in their favour so for that simple reason i'd avoid them at all costs, will never buy a toshiba product again it's nothing to them in truth, after product support is just as important as the product in my view. The 50" TV is my mothers and she is none to happy will seek private repair, but be warned if you have a issue then true amazon will take the return but don't expect toshiba in all cases to help you or even recommend a local repairer or even reply to a secondary email.previouslyRemote could be better it's so similar to a firestick one, however the picture is so nice and crisp and it found my surround system on it's own didnt need to get to a setting, not that i could find them. Alexa on the other hand as i couldn't find a way to switch source on the remote i asked alexa to do it and would you know said ok and done so.My old Tv was 1080p bravia but you sure notice the 4k and HDR10 massive difference and well worth the cost at this 30%+ off.I was confident enough in the reviews to order this 43" for my room, but mum was also so a 50" coming soon, really a good little TV built in freeview play, for me i'll use it for films and playstation, didnt have the issue others had said about the guide but i think that is wifi based and in this house we have gigabit internet so maybe why as it loads the guide quickly, as you can watch live TV or have the option to load on catch up all from the guide so your not miss 10mins of anything so simple :)for the offer price you cant really do better, if i have any issues i'll report back, but it's worth getting at that price very affordable :)
