The product is not worth the money
Since the day I colored my hair every time I wash it the color is coming out with the water for approximately a month, and the color just faded like that even tho it supposed to be dark. I don’t recommend it all 👎🏻

Very natural
I did baby lights at home and poured the bottle product into a highlighting cup and used a brush to apply. I have very long hair and there was enough product left over to add some color texture to my bangs as well. Big plus. No overwhelming chemical smell like you usually get with box dyes from the drug store and the color payoff after 35 minutes curing was just what I wanted! I had more platinum streaks and wanted to tone them down for the fall, this product gave me a kiss of honey blonde that blends seamlessly and made my hair feel great after. I will definitely be using again and would recommend if you like a whole head approach. I would get 2 boxes if you have long hair though and plan to dye your whole head. I also will mention that my hair has had years of dying and product, so I love that it is gentle on pre-colored hair!

was the product tampered with?
I've been consistently using the same shade of IGK hair color for years, but my recent experience with a new package was quite disappointing. The developer was packaged in a bag, and unfortunately, the product leaked out into it. I wondered if the manufacturer changed their packaging. Despite finding this unusual, I decided to proceed with the application. Regrettably, that turned out to be a mistake. In an attempt to salvage the leaked developer, I followed the instructions to mix the color and developer together and applied it to my hair. Around 20 minutes into the processing time, I checked the color, only to discover it had taken on a strange dark orangy-green hue. Undeterred, I continued processing for the recommended 40 minutes.Upon rinsing the color out, I noticed that my hair was darker than usual, but that was something I could live with, assuming it would correct itself in the next touch-up in a few weeks. However, after washing and styling, I observed that my hair appeared fried, with excessive hair loss. Strands were falling out in alarming quantities, and I've even developed a couple of bald spots at my hairline.Initially, I attributed the hair loss to the changing seasons here in Arizona, but after several weeks, considering the worsening condition of my hair, I am genuinely concerned about the contents of the developer bottle. My hair has become extremely dry, frizzy, and laden with split ends, making it challenging to even comb through.Given this experience, I've decided never to order my hair color through Amazon again. I suspect the possibility of tampering with the hair color kit I received, which has resulted in significant damage to my hair.

Speechless. Smoky Scarlet is AMAZING.
I was really nervous to try this but I am absolutely FLOORED by the results. I now have a subscription to the Smoky Scarlet shade every two weeks to keep it fresh. It’s insanely easy to apply, there is MORE than enough in the bottle to cover my decently-long hair, my hair feels nice after coloring, and the color. THE COLOR, Y’ALL. I added a picture with my natural color (veererrrryyyyyy dark blonde that turns gold in the sun) as well as the color Smoky Scarlet produces on me. It’s a gorgeous dark red that allows my gold to peek through in the sun. When I tell you I’m obsessed … I AM OBSESSED. I had no issues with leakage of any kind. I truly can’t say enough good things about it.

One of the worst box dyes I've ever used, esp for the price
There is very little I liked about this product. The formula was very thick so it was much harder to apply than thinner box dye formulas. Because of this I ended up using more product and wasn't able to cover all my hair (for reference, my hair is above shoulders, below chin length, medium thickness). Even when my hair was much longer I didn't have any problems covering all my hair with other box dyes.Next, the coverage. While it did dye my hair all over, my roots are a slighter different color than the rest of my hair (my roots are a dark blonde/light brunette, the rest of my hair has been box dyed copper, but it was faded. I love the color overall but it failed to make my roots the same color as the rest of my hair, when other box dyes have worked beautifully.Third, it left my hair extra dry and fried feeling. Granted, the conditioner did an okay job of making my hair feel better, but before the conditioner it felt awful, much worse than with other box dyes. And for all that the coverage wasn't as good. My hair is now extra frizzy too. So I think I need to wait a few weeks to let it recover before I can redye it with a better product. Those are my main issues with it, but what makes them even worse is that this product is about double the price of other box dyes. I only got it because I needed it the next day and this was the only copper I liked that would get to me in time.As a side note, other reviewers said their products arrived damaged. Mine was not damaged at all, but it was shipped with just a label on the box, no other cardboard box. This probably makes it more likely to get damaged in transit, although I don't know for sure that it always ships that way.

Nice shine, but does not cover stubborn grays.
I'm currently in Florida and not in Chicago where my regular hairdresser is, and occasionally, I do get the urge to color my hair at home. I have to start by saying that I don't regret purchasing this or using it on my hair, but most likely won't be buying it again in the future. For an at-home color, it is pretty decent and does give your hair a nice shine. The value for the money is not great if you have anything longer than chin-length hair, especially if you have a lot of hair. I have hair slightly past my shoulders, so not super long by any means, but I did need two boxes. I should also point out that I do have very color-resistant gray hair. I left this color on my roots for almost 50 minutes, and I did not get good coverage on my gray hair at all. The color touched all of the gray roots and did leave a light to medium brunette shade, however, the rest of my hair is dark brown, as was the color I selected. So, sadly, this was a huge failure for root coverage. I can live with this for a couple of weeks, but I will eventually need to bite the bullet and go and get my roots touched up by a professional. Why am I still giving this product 3 stars, you ask? It's because I believe that if you're not trying to cover gray hair or if you don't have color-resistant grays, like me, this could work out well. Keep in mind that you will probably need two boxes, unless you have short hair, in which case, one box should do the trick. Also, I saw a couple of reviews where the reviewer was expecting to go lighter - these types of at-home hair colors will not lighten your hair so please keep that in mind. Most of us veteran color users know this already. LOL.
