This is Ian O'Connor and Biddy Dillon's story. Ian and Biddy are both Irish immigrants living and working at a textile factory in NYC. Ian takes care of the machinery and Biddy sews using the big industrial machines. Ian is part of a large, loving family living in tenement housing but Biddy is an only child, alone since her mother died, and lives in a run down boarding house far from the factory where she works. We see how Ian and Biddy meet, their courtship and how Ian's family cares for her after a horrible accident. When the family gets word that they are chosen to move to Hope Springs, WY to work in exchange for land Ian needs to let Biddy know how he feels about her. This is such a sweet love story. Ian is the perfect guy for the shy Biddy Dillon, and his family is just what she needs after a lonely upbringing. I love knowing the back story to the family living in Hope Springs and look forward to reading the Hope Springs series. Review: Perfect!! - This is a short story prequel to the series Longing for Home. You don't need to read the series to read this. You can start with this book or Longing for Home. This was such a sweet story! It took me right back to some of my favorite books. For a short story this was very well done. Complete characters, story line and conflict and resolution. I loved it so much:}

Loved this. It was a bit different than I ...
Loved this. It was a bit different than I was expecting as it takes place before the family moves to Hope Springs. But the city living added an interesting twist, and I found I was not disappointed. I now have a whole new love from Ian and Bitty. And I was so happy to revisit this amazing family!

wonderful story
When Ian O'Connor glimpses an angel at work, he's determined to find her again. And he does--but he's not entirely sure how to talk to her. Although his family teases him, they also encourage him to let her know how he feels. Biddy Dillon is alone in the world and still hurting from her past. When gentle, kind Ian enters her life, she starts to hope there could be more for her than just surviving from day to day. I love Biddy and Ian and the whole O'Connor clan. I was so excited to be able to get the backstory on Ian and Biddy and how they met and fell in love. I also loved seeing how the O'Connor clan teased them along the way. Sarah Eden's books always make me laugh but also touch my heart, and this was no different. Loved it. Can't wait for more from Sarah Eden! I received a free copy of the ebook. All opinions are my own.

I was completely swept away by this love story. It's real
As Always, This Author has a way of submerging you into the lives of all the characters. Reguardless if they are the main characters, secondary or a passing figure. I was completely swept away by this love story. It's real, gritty, emotional and a complete thrill. It leads you into the Lives of the characters in the books to follow. Love them All!! So Grateful for her Talent!!

One of my favorites
I'm not a big fan of novellas, but I am a big fan of Sarah M. Eden. I've read Longing For Home and Hope Springs, so I decided to read this novella (which is a prequel to the Hope Springs books). Most novellas don't manage to create a full story. Too often there aren't enough details to do so. SEM managed to create a full story in 128 pages. Not only did the story feel complete, in was completely wonderful. I enjoyed this book so much I want to go back and read the Hope Springs books again. This book is definitely one of my favorite reads this year.

A story of Hope
This sweet tale is the story of Ian amiDst meeting handcuffing in New York city. It actually took place prior to the other books in the series, but still is listed as #4 in the Hope Springs series. Although the love story belongs only to Ian and Biddy, this book describes the events that led to the O'CONNOR family moving out West to Hope Springs. It actually gave me greater insight to Ian and Biddy and helped me understand them better. I didn't have the best feelings toward Biddy after reading Book 3 in this series and I was happy to get to connect with Biddy and understand her better.

Meh. Insta-love stories aren't for me...
Meh. I'm giving this three stars because it did make me chuckle quite a bit, but the story itself felt a bit pointless. Since it's a novella, it doesn't have a lot of plot going for it, and unfortunately, the romance doesn't have a lot going for it, either. Don't get me wrong. I love the main characters. But they have an insta-love story. They just see each other and are instantly in love with each other. There's not a lot to it, nor did I really feel like I got some deeper insight into the characters. It kind of felt like a pointless story that didn't say much. Not bad, but I wouldn't pick it up again.
