Replacement from Bushnell -119977M
I had a previous Bushnell Trail Cam 119719CW that was caught in a fire and suffered damage. Last image reported 122 degrees, the outside case was partially warped and one corner was bubbled. It wouldn't power up so I sent it in to Bushnell to see if they could fix it. They sent it back, with a note, no replacement parts available and an offer to purchase a 119977M model at about $70 off. There are a few things I like about this trail cam, and a few that I don't. What I like is that it is more compact, it has better specs, it's more invisible, and it has a quick release battery pack. The latter, a battery carrier tray is inserted into the bottom of the cam. The good thing is, it's a "snap" to replace the batteries and doesn't disturb the camera angle when changing out batteries. The bad thing is it has only 6 batteries instead of 8. Which may be a moot point if the CORE_CAM uses less energy consumption. I did not compare the ...19CW and this ...77M in this respect.I was able to put a 64G SD Card into the cam and it accepted it. Specs say 512G SD Card is max. That is honestly, a zillion images. That's a good thing. The bad thing is that the SD Card is mounted into a slot on the right side of the camera body, and it is partially obstructed by the waterproof seal lip on the case. Ejecting the SD Card is a bit cumbersome and difficult to grasp and pull completely out. With my previous cam, the SD Card was mounted on the bottom of the cam, ejecting the SD Card and allowing gravity to assist in the removal was simple. With this CORE_CAM, I can anticipate some difficulty and I expect to drop the SD Card to the ground occasionally. That's why I deducted 1 star. Overall, it is a great cam, worthy of ownership.
