and this light is not bad! The box came in a little beaten
You get what you pay for, and this light is not bad! The box came in a little beaten, but the inside components were safe. I'm using it temporarily for my 10 gal since I'm moving over to a larger tank.Pros: - can put light on either corners or straight edges- visually pleasing, sleek and unobtrusive- good light for low-light plants at under 5 gallons- k value is in range to grow most low light plants (9000k)Cons:- the clamp that secures the light onto the edge is closer to 0.8cm, or 8mm in width, rather than the advertised 1cm (10mm); most standard framed tanks sold in the US will NOT fit. Make sure your tank lip/glass is at or under 8mm.- light is barely enough wattage for low-light plants in a 5 gallon tank; will not work for larger planted tanks if you're using it as a grow light.- not exactly bad, but it definitely gives your aquarium a "cool" color; great if that's what you're going for! Washes out warmer colors (like my red subtrate lol).Overall pretty good! It does what it needs to do.

Nice color and slick look, flexible
I like the slick look of the light and the neat design of being able to fit corners and turn the light to pretty much any angle. It's fairly light weight. The core is the standard length for a clip light. I bought this for a rimless tank 12-in cube in dry start right now with a growlight. So I tried this first on my planted 10G because the day this light came, the light bulb on the 10G went out, so I put it on the 10G temporarily before my bulb came. The picture is the light on the 10G, not bright as the T8 full spectrum fluorescent bulb and has a prism with the water waves, but pretty good, my plants were all fine. I would say it's better suited for 5G ish. A note, if your tank has a rim, be sure to the measure the rim's width before purchasing this light, because the screw-in opening is about 1/2 of an inch. I had a glass top, so I didn't try to fit it on the rim, but it would've been snug.

... this on the 20th of January and they work great, it's march 6th and one of the strips ...
I bought this on the 20th of January and they work great, it's march 6th and one of the strips is starting to go out but for the price I'd say get them. I have a 55 gallon tank and I put one light one each side of the tank and I'd say that it lit up the tank really well.

Perfect lighting for a 6 gallon aquarium
This is a nice replacement for my 6 gallon aquarium I have in my living room. It is not to bright or dim. I have it on an outlet timer to come on and off during the day. The length of the cord is pretty short, I just barely had it long enough to plug it into the wall outlet that was directly below it. I think it would be to dim for a ten gallon aquarium and possible to bright for a 3 or a 2. There is not a dim adjustment on itmm

Lights up my 5gal perfect
Just installed this light on my 5gal betta tank! It flickered once a few minutes after turning it on but hasnt since. I think this is a good light for the price but im not sure if it will grow plants well or not

Lamp neck is not stiff
Lights look beautiful and product was not damaged although I paid a cheaper price for damaged packaging. I am disappointed in the lamp neck as it is not stable when positioned. The lamp weight drags down the whole arm so it will not rest parallel to my tank. I’ve managed to twist it to stay just so. Overall decent purchase for the price.

Good light, not so great mounting
Good light, especially for the price. The clip doesn't work well on smaller "standard" rimmed aquariums. The lip on my 10 gallon is to shallow for the screws to get a solid grip. I can make it work, but fairly fragile unless I jury-rig someone to give a better grip. If I had a rimless aquarium it would be perfect.

SMALL CLAMP
I got this for my hexagonal aquarium, the clamp ended up being smaller than advertised by a small margin.

Decent light , Room for improvement
Definitely a decent little light , especially for the price. Only a couple things I don't like,1. it must have a pretty subpar lumens per watt rating because I've seen lower wattage led clip lights that are brighter then this. It's not a huge deal but not a great light for even medium lighting plants (it can work but not recommended for beginners) . It works with my dwarf hairgrass and Marsilea hirsuta, and of course things like anubias and java ferns in my 3.4 gallon but wouldn't try much else with it.2. The mount (clip part) is way to bulky and takes away from the overall look of the scape.Overall pretty happy with it and love that it can be used with a timer. Just wish it was brighter. Wouldn't use this on anything larger then a 4 gallon tank. Cannot believe people were using this on a 10 gallon+ tank, way to little light imoIf you found this review helpful please give it a thumbs up! Thanks!!

Good buy
Very happy with this; fantastic, secure set-up to attach to the tank. Great, bright light. Only thing is the On switch seems loose and will flip to Off.
