Excellent product. According to the manufacturer's (Bonavita) recommendation which came with a sample of this great coffee machine cleaner it's recommended that the coffee maker is cleaned assuming you live in a area with normal water hardness after every 100 pots of coffee. To keep track I use unbleached coffee filters which come in packages of 100 when I've finished a package of filters I know it's time to run the cleaner through the machine...works perfectly every time and is a real no-brainer.Before these cleaning powder packets I'd fill the coffee maker with white vinegar and then run it through the machine three times followed on several cycles of clean water...smelly, time consuming and not as effective...I highly recommend these packets they leave the machine and pot immaculate and compare favorably in terms of time and effort using 1 packet after every 100 pots of coffee.
