Great for the Price
No instructions but pretty simple to wire it up. Takes about 1 hour to install on one bike. Operates great but I would recommend replacing the dim light bulbs with LED lights for a much brighter operation.

very cheap
This light was very cheap the lever for the motor only lasted 2 months before it roke it is very cheap quality, the bulbs blew very quickly, it would fill with water when it rained, I had the solder the wires to the port 3 times it was a constant work in progress.

Nice, retro-style incandescent light.
I bought this lamp for my beach cruiser as I had wanted to stay with a more classic look (rather than LED, I preferred incandescent bulbs for this application- based purely on personal preference).I was attracted to the lamp as it has two bulbs in the front light. The main bulb in the center casts its' light mainly forward in a moderately tight pool of light and the other one places a bright, fairly wide patch of light almost directly in front of the front wheel. The switch on top is unmarked but selects high, low or both bulbs illuminated. With both on, the light output is a little reduced with the current draw of both bulbs demand on the generator. On my bike (26" wheels) it begins producing useful light at about 4-5mph, with full brightness closer to 10mph. I did find initially that the generator was a little stiff to turn- wrapped a little electrical tape around the drive wheel (which is knurled but not very well) to give it a little more grip. After about a half mile of riding I was able to remove the tape and it now grips the tire and is driven satisfactorily- I guess the bearings were just a little tight straight out of the box and have freed up nicely. The instructions are somewhat lacking- there are none in the box! The item's Amazon page does have an image that shows which brackets are for what but there is no wiring diagram included which will cause confusion for people unfamiliar with adding something like this to a bicycle for the first time. The bike frame is used as common ground, with pointed screws to "bite into" the metal and make an electrical contact, the front light connected to the 12V terminal and the rear to the 2.5V terminal of the generator.I did initially try to mount the generator so it would be driven from the rear wheel but found that the clamp is a little too large to attach securely to the smaller diameter tube that forms the rear of my bicycle, so mounted it to the front left fork. The wiring supplied was long enough to fit in a tidy route hidden away using some small zip-ties I had in the garage. The kit does not come with any so be prepared to buy something to fix the wires up to the frame with. So, overall? For a classical-look, incandescent filament bulb lamp set it's not bad at all, really. As a light, there are better ones out there with newer technology but for me it's about the details, and this one fits.

Late looks great was not hard to install but tail light does not work whatsoever no matter how I tried to get it wired the tail light does not work decently priced if the product worked properly

The only reason why I gave it 3 stars is ...
The only reason why I gave it 3 stars is because there is no instructions on how to wire it and install it on to the bike!

It burned up in 3 days
at first I gave this product a good review then 3 days after installing this on my motorized bicycle as a description clearly says it is made for it has apparently burned up the generator has nothing to it I touched the light accidentally the day before and was shocked with quite a jolt coming out of the generator now there's nothing in the lights don't work nothing lights up no power honestly this is all the better it works I would call it junk it looks great that's it

Mostly works hard to install
This was clearly made in China because the piece to connect to the bike could hardly be screwed in, also could use some locknuts to keep the screws from unscrewing. We needed to create our own mounting system from scrap metal for it to work, but other than that it works great.
