Baggallini Town Tote

This is my 2nd Baggallini purse, and third Baggallini product and I continue to be impressed with the quailty and functionality of their bags. I purchased this to be my "personal item" for carry on for our trip to Hawaii. I've continued to use it since we got back since my first bag is a tiny little thing. I love that Baggallini bags have brighly colored linings which make it so much easier to find stuff than a black or darker colored lining. This tote is large enough to carry: My Kindle Touch in a cover and a tablet with keyboard in a cover, my medicines, my camera, wallet, keys, cell phone, many brochures and travel papers, a light sweater AND a water bottle. There are so many compartments, you are bound to find one that fits whatever you want to carry. The small pockets on the inside aren't very secure, stuff does fall out and into the main comparatment, but they are helpful as is the pen loop at the top of the main compartment. The front pocket with the buckle is almost too secure, you have the magnetic closure (the buckle is for show) and a wrap around zipper to open to get into this compartment. Some will find this a great feature, I didn't use this compartment that much. Now I store the cards I rarely use and small USB drive in it. The straps are VERY sturdy and it hangs in just the right place for me - not too short or too long. It also comes with a small purse, a change purse for some but I was able to fit my wallet and cell phone in it, convert the little strap that attaches it to the larger purse and voila! I had a little evening bag for when we went to a restaurant and I didn't want to carry the big bag. Another nice feature is that the large pocket on the back of the tote can be unzipped at the BOTTOM and it becomes flap to slip the tote on the handle of your rolling luggage. That was really nice when we had to walk long distances with the luggage and I had this thing packed with so much stuff it was quite heavy at times. I wanted something that was brightly colored to spot easily if someone decided to steal it, hence the Tomato red! I also wanted to know that I could carry ALL of our valuables with me while on the plane or walking around and this tote fit the bill. It holds a lot, so be warned that it can get heavy with out a lot of effort!

Overall, I like the bag. I got the green, which is a nice color, not as boring as, say, black, but not so flashy that all people notice about me is that I'm carrying a bag. It's lightweight, which is nice, and the straps are long enough that I can put it on my shoulder or carry it in my hand. I haven't had any problem with it sliding off my shoulder as another reviewer mentioned. It has two open pockets on the outside (which are nice for carrying an umbrella or a bottle of water), a zipper pocket (for my Kindle Fire), and a magnetic snap pocket (good spot for a book or your mail). There are also a couple of interior pockets, a spot for your cell phone, a detachable pocket where you could keep your i.d. and money if you were so inclined, and a place to attach your key chain.I have a full-time job and am also a 3/4 time college student. I carry a lot of stuff around with me. Currently, the tote is holding my planner, my Kindle Fire, a legal pad, a small notebook, an umbrella, a receipt book, and a business-size checkbook. I suppose I could also fit in a small makeup bag or a wristlet if I wanted to. I could not, however, fit in my very thick textbooks, unless I took all the other stuff out. So, while it makes a very nice day to day work bag, I will still need a second bag if I decide to tote my school stuff to work with me.

I just received this bag and although the bag is very nice, I am only giving 3 stars due to the size being MUCH smaller than described. I ordered the black and the description stated "Product Dimensions: 20 x 5 x 14 inches ; 1 pounds". I needed a larger bag due to regular, frequent travel, and was disappointed to find that this bag only measures approximately 6 x 10 x 12. Upon looking at some of the other colors of this bag after I received my package, they are described as "Product Dimensions: 6 x 10.5 x 12 inches ; 1.4 pounds". At the time of order, I had no reason to look at the product descriptions for the other colors since I already knew I was ordering Black.That being said, I do very much like the bag. For its size, it is very roomy, seems to be well made, and light weight. I'm going to give it a try on my next upcoming trip to see if the smaller size will work.

I never write reviews, however, I like this bag SO much I felt compelled too. I travel a few weeks a year, and I really wanted a bag that would "hold-it-all", and wouldn't weigh a ton. I have tried several other travel bags with little luck. The (2) issues I have with handbags is 1) staying on my shoulder..Handbags seem to slip from my shoulders. & 2) the handbag doesn't hold enough. I have to admit that this handbag was not my 1st choice. I really wanted the Baggallini Elena, however, the lack of both color options & a pocket to hold a bottle of water is what kept me from ordering the Elena. Anyway, I ordered the bag in a Dark Olive, along with the matching wallet. Both items were delivered the next day. I was VERY pleasantly surprised when I opened the package. The bag is much nicer and just seems bigger than depicted, and the Dark Olive color was beautiful!!! I love that the bag has (2) pockets on each end that can be used to hold a beverage. Carting the luggage all over was SO much easier because I could use the pass-through on the back of the handbag, to hook the bag over the pull handle on the luggage. The hand bag easily held the coin purse, the new wallet, make-up, a checkbook, sunglasses (in a large hard case) a large back-up battery to recharge all of our electronic devices, a kindle, keys,.and I almost 4 got..the baggallini wallet had a pocket to hold my Iphone 5, even with an Otterbox case on it. I reall love this bag, and more importantly, it stays on my shoulders!!! Worth every Penny, and I will purchasing an additional bag or (2), and not just for vacation!!! You will not be disappointed!!
