heavy duty juicer, put it to the test. I picked all my pomagranites the other day and started to press the juice. It worked great on the small to medium size pomagranites . On the large size ones nearly impossible to press down on these tough little suckers. Problem solved by cutting the large size fruit in 3rds. I pressed almost 60 pomagranites, needless to say I was pretty worn out with all the pressing. I am giving this item 4 stars, I am impressed with this item, for normal pressing this item stands out. Pros, sturdy device, easy clean up, rinses off well. Cons would like to have been able to put a larger cup to retrieve juice, could use only a small cup. careful handling the metal insert that sits inverted in the juicer, very sharp on the rim, cut my finger, sharp like a razor blade. I recommend this product for normal pressing.

I've had this only a short time; it replaces a hand squeeze plastic unit that finally cracked after 35 years of loyal service. I'd wanted a unit like this for many years, and this purchase was a birthday splurge earlier this month for myself! The lemon and orange trees in the rear garden are both heavy producers and I'm loving my vitamin C. Must say this citrus juicer sure lessens the labour when I make lemon curd. It seems to be a substantial piece of equipment and the mottled grey coating gives it a great commercial or industrial look I like. Happily, the one I received IS mottled grey, like the image in the listing, not black as stated in the copy. The stainless components could be a bit more substantial, yet they a quite serviceable so far. They are very easy to remove, to wash, and to reinstall.

My husband's grandmother used one of these years ago for juicing pomegranates. I asked my husband to get on the Internet and find the one that resembles the one she used. He chose this one. It is really nice. Kind of big and heavy but that's what makes it work well. It appears to be very well made and its moving parts are smooth. Good price too.

Works great and you do have to put a couple of fingers on the back when you press it down but does not have to be a heavy finger. Just a light touch and it will keep it flat. Have juiced grapefruit, oranges, lime and lemons.

Easy to clean. Squeezes good.
