Ich nutze das Öl überwiegend zum bearbeiten von geschnitzten Figuren, Spielzeug und Brettern. Außerdem bedeckt es einige Holzgriffe von Messern und co, als auch einen gebeizten Küchentisch. Und auch wenn ich mir bei letzterem Sorgen gemacht habe, so hat es doch keine Probleme gegeben. Es ist sehr beständig, trocknet entsprechend der Angaben, verliert seinen Geruch innerhalb von 24h und sorgt für eine schöne und natürliche Oberfläche. Die Ergiebigkeit lässt sich allerdings in Frage stellen. Denn wenn sie ähnlich überzeugt von dem Produkt sind wie ich, werden sie es wirklich überall draufklatschen wollen ;) Die Verarbeitung geht denkbar einfach von der Hand. Ich trage immer 2 Aufstriche innerhalb von 4h mit einem Pinsel auf und mache unter Umständen einen dritten nach 24h. Damit ist die Oberfläche griffig und gut geschützt. Um eine glattere Oberfläche zu erzielen habe ich zB die Arbeitsplatte noch zweimal mit einem Lappen und wenig Topoil nachpoliert. Damit erreicht man eine Oberfläche die der eines Hartwachses nicht unähnlich ist. Sehr empfehlenswert und vielseitig.

The Osmo TopOil High Solid pil was applied on an 26 year old oak table that had been stored in a non heated garage during the last 11 years. When the table was new it was treated with urethane oil, and first I thought I had to continue using this type of oil. However, it was more expensive and more difficult to find a supplier for in my country. Therefore I decided to buy the Osmo TopOil. It has come very well. I used a piece of a cloth rag t spread it out, and about 5 minutes later I used another larger piece of this cloth rag to wipe off excess oil to get a thin homogeneous layer. The next day I used the same procedure a second time. Hopefully this is enough to obtain a well protected surface for my table that stands in a glazed in terrace all the year with temperatures ranging between 0 - 40 degrees C.
