This activity book is great

Excellent revision book for a year 6 pupil

What I like about this book is the quantity of questions that should ensure you can give your child plenty of repetitive practise with the types of questions that are likely to come up in SATS tests. The pages are simply laid out, and not spoiled by random coloured boxes, arrows and headlines splashed all over the place. These are black and white pages with lots and lots of questions.That said, I should also point out that there are multiple websites that allow you to download past SATS papers for free. In my case, I downloaded all three maths papers (there are 3 per year) from 2016-2023. What I discovered is that many of the questions in this KS2 maths book, and others that I purchased, are in some cases somewhat harder than in the actual papers. For instance, fractions, percentages and division questions tend to have more easily workable numbers than in any of the practise books. Scoring well in exams is largely a questions of good exam strategy, and looking at past papers is the only way to spot the trends in the questions.So, while this book, and other like it, provide plenty of useful ammunition for study, I highly recommend getting hold of the real thing as well.

We have been using this to home school, on marking the work there are several mistakes in the Question/answer section! Which makes us wonder how many other mistakes have been made as we are no teachers and do rely on resources to help! (It’s only for another couple of weeks!!) But we can’t recommend this unless you are good with maths and are able to correct the mistakes! We have attached a couple of examples that we could remember! But as you can see it’s not ideal if you/ your child relies on this to help progress their learning.
