Sounds better than it is
The media could not be loaded. While the developers clearly put a lot of work and thought into the hardware and software, the end result doesn't do anything particularly well, and falls short overall of delivering an educational product that I want for my children.Requires an email account to use. Then you need to enter real or fake info about your kid (name, age) to use. Email registration failed to arrive even after 10 minutes. Only works with the 2017 sized iPads. Not the iPad Pro. If you want your phone, there's a different base that fits various phones.Doesn't fit with a case, and they don't give you little corner bumpers, etc, so if your kid knocks it over, crash goes your iPad. It's pretty stable if you push back or sideways, but too easy to tip forward. This comes with a lot of packaging, so I think they could have provide little silicon corners to slip on the top corners. This is intended to be used in a well-lit room, with white tables. Don't expect to use it on table clothes, patterned rugs.. and don't expect to use it on car trips or airplanes. It's only useful in settings where you probably don't need it if you have real physical toys around.I tested two games. The NEWTON game involves dropping virtual marbles from the top of the screen. You have to draw on paper or a whiteboard the stuff your marbles will bounce off of. If you use paper, you will endlessly run out of paper since one line will use up the paper. You could probably use small pieces of dark cut out paper instead. I found the process of trying to make virtual bumpers to be annoying and inaccurate. As a parent, I don't see any benefit vs. real toys here. Actually an all-screen app with physics and globs would be more intuitive and educational. The TANGRAM app involves placing colored shapes (squares, triangles) on the table in front of your device to replicate various on-screen shapes. "Easy" means the on-screen shapes are color-coded. "Hard" means they are all-black. There's an unclear audio and visual feedback for correct and incorrect placement, and the detection is poor, so the shapes can actually be misplaced and register as correct, which makes completing a puzzle difficult. A system of gems is clues. All together, I would not try to get my kid into this. And I don't think it's helpful in a classroom for anything other than sounding hip. There are other, much more educational apps which embrace being apps.

I love this for my 5 year old son who is ...
I love this for my 5 year old son who is also autistic. he loves the ipad and I needed him to have more interactive things to do on it. So I bought this. I have an older model ipad so please note, you can use older models, just check on the website with out to adjust the base because it's set to a smaller size to begin with and no directions on how to change it are in the box. For a few days I thought my ipad wasn't going to fit and I was debating buying a new ipad but then I searched their website to find out it CAN be adjusted to fit my larger ipad and sure enough it worked!!! But I absolutely love this for my son and he's enjoying it too!!!! Really a great way to get together with your child and play together. for one you can hep them learn it, and for another, it's fun for adults too a little bit! And doing this together, I find my son feeds off the positive reinforcement and recognition for getting things right and mastering the 'game'. It's really a great gift!

Absolutely incredible for kids... and makes adults want to try
One of the most ingenious and cleverly designed learning tools I've ever seen. It's very easy to set up, the games are intuitive and build from easy to hard, and the interface is beautiful. The kids want to use it every day and I'm in my 30s and do too!The only semi-negative issue is the stand can't accommodate a case. I understand why this is, but we can't go taking the Otterbox case off and on every time we want to use Osmo. I wish there was a clever solution to this problem.

Best gift and get for use of iPad learning and creating
I bought for my niece as a Christmas gift as she has been talking about since she saw a YouTube video. She has a iPad and of course it’s the iPad series that doesn’t fit this base but she played it on a family members iPad that fit the base. Hopefully I’ll be able to return or exchange the base for one that fits her iPad serie because she loves all the games....Correction there are two side base adjustments for the multiple iPad series. I notice one side always slide out when putting the iPad Pro in the base, today I looked at he other side and notice we put the iPad 1 series in the bar the left part don’t slow out due to either our hands holing the base thy blocked it from popping out on both sides. Point is both base side have adjustable sliding part to fit several IPad sizes, I’ll give it a 5star now!!!!

Amazing. Innovative. Engaging.
Osmo is an amazing product. My children have all enjoyed the Genius Kit, and we are looking forward to adding more kits to our collection as soon as we are able. Each individual box has proven to be perfect for my children ranging from 6 to 10. The Masterpiece app is especially interesting because you can use ordinary unlined paper to draw. This is a great way for the children to try new styles of art, and have quick and easy instruction. The words app is great because it is really helping our 6 year old to learn new words in a fun, engaging way. She is also developing a quicker response to being able to sound out her syllables to help her with the new words. Thank you for making this product.

WOW! Learning made fun!
I purchased this as a Christmas Gift for my 8 yr old daughter. Wow! What a hit! Finally something we can both agree on. She loves the drawing the best, math is her second favorite, third is the tangram game. The word game is good too but she has dyslexia (which is why we bought this module) and it does create frustration for her.She really loves to interact with the iPad and I must admit, while I am an electronics skeptic for little ones, I have a hard time arguing with her iPad use when she is learning tangibly. I couldn't be happier!

Excellent!
We’ve waited long time to purchase this. Everyone seemed to talk positively about the kit, but the price seemed to put us off. Finally, when the price when down slightly we bit the bullet.First impressions: lovely packaging. It comes with small boxes in which the pieces are kept, stopping that one piece from growing legs and walking away. There is also a bag to keep the rest of the pieces, tablet holder and red mirror piece /reflection piece. In order to use the kit, you need to download the apps, create an account and that’s it! Set up is really that simple. The children loved the idea of being able to place the pieces infront of the iPad and the game registering their answers. You’ll notice that pieces (such as alphabet) can be placed either way but will be correctly recognised.Games such as masterpiece don’t require pieces, you simply need white paper. This is probably the kids all time favourite. Simply ‘trace’ the drawing (and it records you doing so). Kids enjoyed watching their drawings being played back.We are yet to buy other components, such as the coding game. However, so far we are extremely happy with this purchase.

A lot of fun
A lot of fun for my 4 year old daughter and myself. I first experienced this at the computer museum at Bletchley (which was much more entertaining than the code-breaking WW2 museum, which we were originally in the area for, btw), and really enjoyed the physicality and the logic puzzles - my daughter, who was 3 at the time, took to it instinctively. My only gripe is the American accent: it offers the option of UK localisation, but doesn't change anything that I can see (maybe the spelling in some places?). Still, that's a very minor thing, and we still have a lot of fun with it.

Hours of fun for kids and the family
I read a lot of reviews and bloggers feedback before buying this for my 7 yr old twins. I set this up on the iPad and ended up playing/trying out all the games for about 4 hrs before the kids came home. My twins are addicted and really love it. My son enjoys the maths game and my daughter prefers the word one. They both love the drawing game. We use a white board on the monster game which works well. So far I am really impressed. We gave a case on our iPad which is stuck to the iPad so that's a bit annoying as we can use the osmo base without permanently removing the case so we just balance it upright but I don't think ours would have fitted in the base as it's an iPad 2. We love competing boys vs girls on the spelling game so this is a great device/concept for the whole family not just kids. Looking forward to seeing what future games they release and I like the extra touch where you can order missing pieces should the odd piece go astray

A work of genius!
Before much research and visits to the website, we discovered Osmo by chance on Amazon. I cannot highly recommend this tool enough and will continue to look out for any further products in the near future.Quick delivery, we had bought this as a Christmas present and gave it a go on our son's Kindle Fire - the base was incorrect but will explain this later on.Arriving in a large box, the Osmo consists of a base and its reflector, three different coloured boxes containing numbers, letters and the Tangram shapes. Each box needs it's personal app downloading via the Google/Fire store and once set up, just follow the onscreen instructions. Please be aware that only the iPad base is available at the moment and after much investigating, the Kindle base should be available at some point in February. We made the mistake of using the iPad base for the Kindle Fire and although it works, a lot of adjusting was needed and not worth the stress, therefore, I would highly suggest waiting for the Kindle Fire base to be available. The Apps were extremely easy to download and setting up a profile for our child to monitor his progress helped us find the areas that needed attention and we will be using this for quite a long time to come.

I bought this for my 6 year old who has autism to help her to focus on the work as she responds better with visual help and I bought the codi game to go with it and .....its fantastic ! She absolutely loves it ! It has helped her with her maths as she has been struggling at school but this has made a huge difference in her confidence and it's really fun to join in with them !!
