READY 2 LEARN Water Art Activity Book - Sea Life

My child is autistic. Doing arts and crafts time with him can be...shall we say...challenging? I needed something that if they put the pen in their mouth they wouldn't be eating ink, wax, or what have you. Non toxic or not, I didn't want that.So I found this book. And it's amazing!!! It has activities in there. And I can practice coloring with them or even drawing shapes.The pen is water based. And the pages dry out fast for the ability to do it all over again. As long as you keep the fans off the pages, you have plenty of time to "color" the pictures in.My one con is I wish there was a way to get the pen without the book. I wanted my child to be able to hold their pen as I held mine.I'd love to see more books like this. It's clean (my OCD partner doesn't mind this activity), my child isn't getting ink in their mouth, and they love the pictures.I bought a second book already (same as the first). Hurry up and publish more books!!!! Big fan!

I gave this to my little niece as a Christmas present. She opened it and immediately asked for water so she could start coloring. Obviously, she has done this before. Her mother said it was a good gift and would help keep her occupied on their frequent long car trips. Recommended by the aunt, the mother and the child.

I love that this is mess free and only requires water. When the water is allowed a few minutes to soak in the pen , it worked well. The pictures are pretty and so colorful when wet and I especially loved the way the little surprises popped out! There are many images to discover along the way! The pages dry back to clear which makes it great as a reusable project and also a lot of fun for a game of seek-and-find!

At first I loved that this water color book has a pointed felt tip water marker which I thought would be great for better precision when coloring BUT the felt tip actually doesn’t dispense water as easily as the Melissa and Doug water color books with the brush style water color pencil.The pencil does work it just take a little bit more effort to actually evenly color with it or reveal the colors. As much as i hated the way the Melissa and Doug water pen brushes fanned out they’re more effective for evenly applying the water to reveal the color. Both are effective though.All in all this water color book is great! It’s very engaging and fun for my 3.5 year old. My son loves water color books and this one is very fun. We also love that this book has 2 more pages than the average Melissa and Doug water color books. We’ve very happy with this color book and would definitely recommend it! My 3 year old LOVES it!!!

This Ready 2 Learn Water Art book is fun for young artists. The book allows them to "color" without any worry of them staining furniture or their clothes as they are only using water. The water pen is also a good fit for young hands. The fact that page’s dry back to white allows for added fun be building in challenges like memory of the color which will be revealed. I think this is perfect for traveling as it doesn't require lots of colored markers/crayons and you can't really make a mess other than a couple ounces of water.
