am I the only one who actually paid for it?
Well this review is from an actual buyer, not someone who was gifted one to review! As a long term user (ie having bought!) a Creative ROAR original model, which has been in use for 5 years, I was tempted by a good price on the AIR V2. Having now used the AIR V2 for a week or so I can say I generally think it's a good 'soundbar' type speaker to have under your monitor, rather than a portable speaker, basically 'cus it's too big to carry around and a smaller model, like the old 'ROAR' is more suited to go round the house with you?As an addition to your PC/Mac setup it does well once you cure its immediate fault of 'wobbly' feet!? No one has mentioned that it won't sit solidly on your desk due to its curved shape underneath? Buy some "stick-on" feet for a few quid and add them wherever you need to even it up/make it sit nicely on your monitor stand, the cable to a wired keyboard will then also slip nicely under it as well!Tech has moved onwards a lot so I've not had any 'lip-sync' issues with video using a Mac mini connecting to the AIR V2 via usbC, which is good as you can't alter anything and as it's also powered by the usbC cable, there's no need for a power supply and it's associated grounding hum issues.Sound is loud and to my ears, and a bit 'boomy' as it has a large internal volume, is not ported, but has a passive 'radiator' coupled with 2 drivers - I'm sure It's the same as the ROAR, just with more internal volume - hence the 'boomyness?' - it's fine you get used too it in a hour and as most TV audio is 'equalised' by the content providers to listeners on this sort of equipment, what are you going to do?To sum up I think it's a damn good PC/Mac soundbar, with actually excellent bluetooth, if you need it? Bit too big too be portable for me (wrong shape though, as it's too big to put on that space by the toilet!) Audio is subjective to everyone, but sounds good enough for my usageMy final opinion is it's a repackaged 'ROAR' in a bigger package with the passive 'radiator' facing towards you giving a 'boomy/boxy' feel too it - good not great, but still deffo worth the money, for a soundbar, not so much if you want another portable bluetooth speaker?

Decent Computer Soundbar
I bought this for my computer to replace the pretty weak and tinny monitor speakers.I have the bar connected to my computer with the provided USB cable, and I have also tested it with the 3.5mm line cable that came with it as well. The sound quality is quite good - certainly good enough for streaming audio or tv programmes or watching videos. There are 3 speakers in the unit - left and right, with a larger central subwoofer. These provide enough oomph for what I want, with decent bass and overall presence. The unit is comfortably heavy, with 2 rubberised feet. I have it sat on my monitor stand, so the feet don’t touch the desk, and the speaker will vibrate itself around - I just need to add a middle pad.The USB cable also charges up the internal battery, as the unit will work as a Bluetooth speaker. By default, it will switch on in pairing mode, but once the computer boots up, the speaker will switch modes. Bluetooth pairing is very straightforward - it took moments for my iPhone 14 to find the speaker and connect. A coloured LED behind the speaker grill shows the speaker mode - purple for USB, green for line-in, and Blue for Bluetooth. You can manually switch modes with the power button. This is not a home cinema system but is a very capable portable speaker cum external device speaker. I’m perfectly satisfied.

Good Speaker Let Down By Hardware Issues
I've had this speaker for over a year. It produces a good sound, and is a good price. However, the main issue is that when this speaker goes over a certain volume it just turns itself off, which is a feature built into the device. This means when you're watching a movie, the louder parts of the movie will turn this speaker off, rendering it useless for movies. It works fine for things like YouTube and Music (If kept at around 60% volume).

Surprisingly good
Very good quality for the pricing, easy to use, perfect size for going under a monitor,Had to return as I’d hoped it’d take audio from my ps5 but sadly wouldn’t but that’s not the speakers fault

Better than budget speakers.
I was looking for something half decent as an upgrade to built in speakers, but it sounds a bit flat and slightly boomy but that’s my personal opinion. They do take being able to put the volume up to 3/4, beyond that it’s a tad bit distorted but then for music (if you have a party, it projects the sound well)But for the price its good, and the Bluetooth function to use with Tablets and mobile’s makes the speaker a good choice and good value.Bluetooth works perfectly-no issues.USB to PC-no issues.I would recommend it if you want an upgrade.Again with sound it’s down to personal taste.

Awesome speaker for a PC
I bought this after trying a Majority Bowfell and replacing it due to technical problems with that one.The Creative Stage Air V2 sounds much better and is very loud, the music quality is great although it leans a bit toward the bass. Overall, this speaker is excellent, it has a small enough footprint that it fits below my monitor (on top of its stand legs nonetheless!) and is so loud that I keep the volume <=50%. Since the USB-C cable doubles as a power source AND an audio input, there is no hassle of using another cable for a power source or keeping an eye on the battery like typical Bluetooth speakers to keep recharging. Just the USB-C cable is enough! The only (small) problem I encountered is that with AUX input, the volume is substantially low.Overall, it's an excellent product and huge value for money!
