I bought this line for low wind conditions for my large inflatable kites. They are really big and this was going to be my low wind line for them. These kites are larger than two Ram 1500's end to end so they can give quite the pull. The lines work very well and it also stays kink free with a little input from the user. I have left this line on when the wind kicked up with the big kites and they stayed right there. I was a little concerned, since if the line broke, they would drift a long ways. I am very happy with the line and I need some more really soon. Not intended for smaller kites as the line would be to heavy. Should have at least a 8 foot delta to really use this line. Not cost effective for kites any smaller, But great for larger kites.

Using for lightweight guy lines on backpacking hammock tarps and tents. Like how it knots and the ends melt. Wish it was solid orange for visibility but no stars deducted because I could see what I was buying. I hate when people complain about a product because they didn't look at the pictures or read the description... anyway, so far so good.

Great line. Easy to knot, very strong, only 2.5mm in dia. I was flying a 26ft octopus in 20mph winds with gusts much higher and this line performed flawlessly.

I honestly have no idea how to review kite string. Thank You Emma Kites For Making This Affordable For Poor People Like Myself! 👍 Heck Ya 👍 Rule #1 Always wear clean underwear because you never know when you'll end up in the emergency room. Rule #2 You never know when you'll suddenly need 300lb string, and when that happens, your S.O.L 😁

This stuff makes great guyline for tents/tarps. It's polyester so it doesn't stretch much or absorb much water. It's on the slippery slide, which I like for knot release (although some knots like tautline hitches don't love to hold with this stuff). Don't pay $$$ for fancy camping-specific line -- line that's smaller than 2mm is unpleasant to use and you don't need more than 300lbs break strength for anything not intended to hold human weight.

Emma kite line is always high quality & reliable. This is the first time I’ve purchased their 500 lb test & it more than outperformed my expectations with a large lifter kite in heavy winds. Some fun colors too.

The Emma Kites 500-lb. Dacron Line is excellent for flying my large hard pulling single line kites. I use it on my Premier Kites Killip 45 Foils and my Power Sled 36 kites. The Orange color is easily seen on the ground and helps avoid people getting tangled in it tripping on it in the field. I have bought other sizes (#) of Dacron line from Emma Kites in the past and they have not failed me yet.
