As a retired nail technician, I no longer have the money to buy expensive, overpriced professional brands to just use on myself. Back when I was trading, I remember several nail technicians recommending this brand and I wanted some cheap colours to give me more variety when doing my own at home.I thought this kit was good value for money and contained a nice selection of colours as well as a base and topcoat so decided to try them.Do be aware that the bottles are only 5ml so are quite small but I would say probably contain 10 applications minimum of each colour and that is with two coats so pretty good value for money.I decided to use a lovely deep lilac blue/purple colour and the application was beautiful. I had perfect coverage in two coats and the colour was rich, covered evenly and looked beautiful. I did worry for a cheaper brand that the consistency would be thick or difficult to work with but it painted beautifully and was very easy to apply.The kit did contain some shimmery colours that could be applied over the colour but I instead opted for a sparkly topcoat from another brand as I didn’t want to change the colour and I love them.They have been painted for a week and have gone through numerous household cleaning tasks and similar. The colour is lasting well with no chipping or fading, I’ve not noticed any lifting Around the cuticle or the free edge and the colour has not faded.Personally, I don’t think these would be suitable if you were working as a nail technician because of the size but for a home user that wants to have the choice to use different colours and create some artwork, they are perfect. The best bit is that they come with a little stand that you can keep the polishes in so you can simply put these on the shelf as they are.I’m already putting in an order for another set to widen my colour range

I was pleasantly surprised by this set both with quality and selection. I thought with it being a cheaper brand that it would be less pigmented and take more coats to get full coverage, but I was wrong. Two coats were plenty even in the very light shades! It’s also not thick consistency so makes it easy to use, there are two or three chunky glitters that are a bit thick to apply but that’s expected. The glitters are very sparkly and it has a good selection of shades without them being too similar so definitely a good starter set for those wanting to expand their colour collection. It comes with a base coat, top coat and a matte top coat but I haven’t used them as I have a different brand I prefer. The plastic tray is also sturdy and a good way to display colours on a shelf. I can’t say anything about wear as so far I’ve only swatched all the colours but I’ll be using them soon for a valentines set.

This was a bargain set for me, at £9.99 I got it on a deal day.I’d been wanting to try Beetles for a while so this was the perfect opportunity. I’m impressed, very impressed.Yes, they are small bottles, only 5ml each colour, but for home manicures they’re a perfect size.They are thicker than some other brands, and in some cases only one colour coat is necessary (with all nail polish, thin coats are always advisable to avoid wrinkling, peeling, chipping, and of course the burning sensation when curing under UV because it’s been applied too thickly!)I was going on holiday and I wanted a manicure that would last at least two weeks without any repairs or intervention from me. I also wanted to avoid the regrowth gap that can appear as the nail grows and the gel ‘grows out’ with it, so I created this polka dot look with just a clear base. The dots were made with 7 colours from the set, fixing each colour before adding the next so they didn’t bleed into each other and I could overlap them. The gold was just the occasional piece of round confetti. To create a smooth finish I used the base coat again over the colour coats, which also fixed the confetti in place, and finished with the No wipe clear top coat.These lasted over 3 weeks, I didn’t want to take them off, so when I got home I did a quick surface file, smoothing out the regrowth area, and reapplied the top coat down to my cuticle edge. In the end I removed them after 30 days, but only because my nails were so long they were becoming cumbersome and I needed to cut them, but they may well have lasted another week to ten days.I can see from other reviews that some people have had an allergic reaction to some polishes in the range. With all cosmetic products (not just hair dye) patch tests are important, in addition when applying gel polish it is imperative to avoid prolonged contact with skin and cuticles, clean away any excess before curing.

I have always been a fan of the Beetles gel polish’s and the new rebrand over the years has been amazing. Love that they now come in a container which I can just add to my collections. They are long lasting and vibrant. They do need a few more coats due to the consistency being slightly thinner than other brands but other than that I really can’t fault them. I will continue to purchase from this brand and would recommend to others.

A good quality polish in a range of colours,easy to use, with excellent durability. I particularly like the stand which comes with them and enables you to easily keep the set together and the slot holds the bottle firm while you are dipping the brush to paint your nails.

Absolutely love the colour pallet, the gel dries very nicely with both high-power and low-power UV lights; tested with both. Highly recommended for newbies like myself to learn basic applications and also a good start if you're getting a collection of colours from scratch.Myself, my toes, my fingers and my bestie all love them very much! xx 🥰❤️😍

Some of the colours really aren’t true to what the picture shows. I know there will be some difference I’m not naive, however some of them really are shockingly different to how they’re meant to be. Overall an okay product. Some lovely colours in the pack and some not so nice.

Im new to gel nails, and this set is a great starter set. All the main colours with a base and 2 top coats (Sheen and Matt). Loving them as bery easy to use.
