Being 60+ years old, I need some assistance reading the small print. This magnifier works great! The two levels of light and the folding handle makes this tool even better.

Ordered this for my aging eyes that need bigger print & good lighting. Magnification is high enough for most situations, such as reading the small print on food packaging (instructions or nutrition info), pill bottles, cross stitch patterns, or the tiny print in some instruction manuals. It’s relatively easy to load the 3 AAA batteries into the handle, and once you figure out where the on/off switch is, it’s easy to use with either the right or left hand. The magnifier feels a little heavier in my hand than I had hoped, and although the large handle makes it easy to grip, I’m not sure I’d use it for long periods of reading. The black cloth carrying sleeve is nice to have when I put the folded magnifier in my purse for shopping. I’m glad I made this purchase.

At age 95 my eyesight is a problem. Have you noticed how the newspapers and magazines have resorted to a smaller font size (probably to get more on a page and save on ink and paper)? in any event, a well lit magnifier glass became a necessity. Most are awkward to hold (I tried a number of them) and had poor lighting if any at all. This unit seems to have been well thought out and with it's two-step lighting and 3X magnification I can easily absorb any reading material. The wife wants one too. Just placed my second order.

Having just been diagnosed with macular degeneration, I have been struggling to read mail, newspapers, anything. This is a Godsend. It's large, easy to hold and has 2 brightness settings.

Nice magnafying glass. The lights make it even better.
