You wouldn't think a company half a world away would be very helpful or personal, but in this case you'd be wrong. My Ommo 8-way Laser level is awesome, showing a sharp green line across the structure of my 41-ft patio cover construction project. I used the vertical laser to transfer the fascia line from my roof down to the ground, and the horizontal laser to draw a line across four posts so I could cut them all to the same height, and then verify that they were all level. Worked great! However, shortly after the return period ended, it developed a problem (the vertical laser wouldn't fully align to the unit). I wrote to the manufacturer ([email protected]) with the issue to see if there was an adjustment I could make. They wrote back within a day with something to try, but unfortunately it didn't work. So, I asked for another idea, and even though the item was past the Amazon 30-day return window, they issued me a full refund! Wow. Amazing. Totally unexpected, and much appreciated. So what did I do then? I bought the 12-way for just a few dollars more. And wow, is that an amazing machine! See my review there, too. One little tip for users of this or any similar laser level: This unit will auto-level if it's placed within 3 degrees of level (you can't put this on a serious tilt and expect it to auto-level). You'll hear a beeping sound if it can't level itself. So, when you order this, buy yourself a little tiny circular "bullseye" level for a couple of dollars and use some double-sided to stick it to the top. Then, when you're setting it up, get a rough level with the bubble, and then let the laser do its magic.

This item works perfectly, and is easily mountable to multiple surfaces! What I like most about this item is that the battery is rechargeable. This is such a great buy!

I'm a professional electrician. Have been looking at Bosch $450 and Milwaukee $700+ version of this Lazer. This little $40 lazer is awesome, 0 regrets buying it.

My model did not have the remote or extra bells and whistles however I will say that the battery life on this thing is very impressive. It’s a rechargeable battery and yes I put it to the test. On a Saturday morning at 845am I turned it on, using both V+H live at full brightness and I turn it off at 3pm, that’s a whopping 6hrs15mins!!!! The lines were still bright and usable, there’s no point of further testing then. I have no use for the level in the open air so I cannot attest to that but indoors and in my work area it is awesome. Item was delivered ahead of schedule so that was nice as well. It seems to be well built but only time will tell. I personally think it’s a good investment if you need something in between really cheap and really expensive based on how often you will need use of it

Works good enough, but product specifications say 2 batteries (2X3600mAh) but only got 1, I needed this product for a project I was working on, had to buy different one!

This is a good laser level to use on inside projects like putting a series of pictures on a long hallway wall, both sides. I secured the level with a clamp to a hallway closet door at the height we wanted for our first row of vacation pictures. The level can give you a line on both sides of the hallway at the same time. We used sticky velcro on the walls and the back of the picture frames. Once the first level of pictures is done then you just adjust the Laser to your next picture level and repeat the process. One thing to note about this level is it is not a, "pulsed laser", it will not would with laser detectors that are meant to work with "pulsed lasers". I would buy again, I would recommend.

Updated 5/18/25 New laser arrived. Checked it out and a BIG difference, new one has laser lines everywhere and it's centered and balanced. The accessories it came with make using it in uneven locations, previous laser didn't come with any accessories except for a charging cable. I did ask my Dr if they used lasers, he said in some cases they do, but he didn't. He thought I was talking medical lasers. I told him this was for construction use and putting things like pictures on the wall. He laughed and said construction lasers are not used in the medical field only unless some kind of construction being done or pictures, diplomas and certificates are being hung. I haven't opened the laser to see if it's salvagable, i will soon as I get some free time! I haven't posted a review on the new one yet. Want to use it first so I can honestly say how it works or doesn't do what it's supposed do. I haven't seen it on the things I've purchased. Could be maby I didn't purchased it through Amazon! This is an update. I noticed everything i did with this laser wasn't working right. The warranty time has already expired. China was no help and only thing was the self troubleshooting. None of that worked and here's why. The laser is not centered. I never dropped it kept it in a safe place when not using it. Took the battery out. I did everything in the troubleshooting section and even tried other things that has to do with laser levels. This one is not centered. The only thing to fix it is to open it up. I have nothing to lose if I mess it up. There's no warranty no product support other than the troubleshooting section and the options I had did not work. So i bought another one, but not with this company. I'm to receive it today. When I do I will tear into this one and see if i can calibrate it myself. If it works it works, if it doesn't then off to the trash can it goes and I hope this new laser is better. First things I will check for customer support and hope they're stateside. I'm not going the China way for support if that's all it has then I'll be sending it back! I was looking for a warranty on this laser level, instructions said to check the manufacturer website, I did it only shows medical items and I'm sure Dr's don't use this item for medical reasons but I will ask my Dr if some do. Back to the question on hand Amazon said to check the manufacturer website, manufacturer website states it's a medical device and only shows a 12 line laser with no warranty info. The manufacturer is in China I don't speak Chinese last time I tried to communicate with some from China it was a disaster so I sent the item back still haven't received my refund this was about 5 years ago, I wrote it off as a loss. This laser works fine just want some warranty information someone should have it and I'm not crossing that bridge again trying to contact someone in China.
