Great buy!
This is heavy and built strong -- exactly what's needed in the desert. Lower price compared to many - definitely recommend.

Good for lighter umbrella.
I'm used to the base with cement in it so this is a little bit lighter than that was but that froze a few times and cracked on me so I had to throw it away the umbrella that the cement mom was holding got beat up and thrown away as well so I had bought a new umbrella and this new base to go with it I'm happy with it it could use 5 or 10 more pounds but really in light breezes it holds the umbrella I purchased just fine.

Great stand
Great stand, but you have to keep tightening the know to steady the umbrella.

Sturdy umbrella stand
Very pleased w/this stand as it's sturdy & versatile at a good price. I've been looking for another stand that's not plastic that you have to fill w/sand & this one's perfect. Easy to assemble w/just a couple steps.

(Update: Nope.). Just ok.
Update: ~ 3 months in, and it works so well we have to wedge it under the deck railing for it to stay up in anything but the lightest breeze. We have a standard umbrella in there, and the unit is freestanding. IDK what the problem is. This *might* be sufficient if you have the umbrella in a heavy dining table as well, but you can definitely do better. I’d definitely go for a heavier base (I am not willing to disassemble this to see if its weight is as advertised.) from another vendor.——————Eh. It’s *really* hard to get the base bolt in tightly enough, especially with the provided “wrench.” And of course that’s what really makes it stable. The base could be a hair heavier, but overall it’s just ok.And it’s this sort of weird faux antiqued bronze patina, which I was not expecting based on pics. Not a huge deal, but not my preference, and it likely won’t go with whatever furniture I end up getting. Not worth the hassle of a return, but if I had it to do over, I’d pick a different one.
