Make sure you know the width of what you're clamping. If your board or wall is too thick just buy longer bolts. The hardware store has them in every size.

Bought these to help create a backboard for my work desk. I originally was going to use a thinner board, but ended up buying a shelf board that's .63" thick and needed to buy longer bolts. I bought M6 x 40mm and it holds perfectly. Also, I've got a desk that's 3/4" thick and it fits well. Other than that, the clips work as expected. I like the rubber gaskets. They help with gripping the board so it doesnt wiggle around.

I used these on the end of a table to keep round fabric bolts from slipping off. Slipped a piece of luan in 2 on each short side of the table. It initially didn't fit the lip of an 8ft folding table, but worked with a 6ft table edge.
