I first have to say that this product arrived MUCH larger than I had imagined. I am not sure, I guess, that I had envisioned the size when I had ordered it. But I imagined something that could fit in my hand - but this is much bigger. The box itself is nearly two feet wide.The kids were ecstatic when they saw it!The second surprise was that when we opened it (it comes with the vehicles already constructed) each vehicle had its own special function. Something spins or moves back and forth etc. Very adorable. They are fun enough to play with without the fact that they can be taken apart.My 2-year-old could unscrew and restore the screws with the electric drill - by himself. He was completely engaged in doing this - not even thinking about pulling the whole thing apart.My 4-year-old got right to work completely removing every screw and pulling every piece apart. He likes doing puzzles, and this was a lot like doing a 3D puzzle - only he could use screwdrivers and screws to put it together.I think that the idea itself is amazing. Kids LOVE to use tools - but there isn't usually very much to do with them. (I.e. the hammer that is used to pound on EVERYTHING!) The set comes with instructions. They are simple enough to put together that my 4-year-old could do it with minimal coaching. Once he's done it a few times I'm sure he will be able to do it all on his own.And the 2-year-old is still screwing and unscrewing the screws...

Nice creative toy. Our 3-year old grandson can take them apart just fine if the bolts aren't too tight, but isn't into putting them back together just yet. He loves the drill that works, and the different bits for the screwdriver. It would be nice if there was a set where the different parts would fit more than one vehicle. Get a covered bin to store the set in, as the many little parts will get lost otherwise. Good activity to do on the floor with your child!

I bought one set of these for the grandkids to play with at my house and immediately found out they all wanted to play with the battery powered driver (should have seen that coming)! With this set, if they temporarily "lose" the screw drivers in the bottom of the toy box, I can get a phillips and/or flat head driver out of my tool box to use! A little too complicated and beyond the attention span of the 3 year old children but they enjoy helping turn the screws for a bit!

Excitement turned to disappointment right from the start. After opening the package the 3 year old boy discovered the drill didn't work. The batteries were dead. First, we had to locate a screwdriver to open the compartment to check the batteries, then a fresh pair of batteries. After quite a delay, the little boy finally got to play with the toys. I don't think he was as excited as before. I gave the toy 4 stars because I think the toys are appropriate and as described.

I got these for my 3 year old and she LOVES putting them together and using the "real" drill like daddy's. Shes a little young to do it in her own, but we have a lot of fun doing it together. I imagine a little bit older kid would be able to do it pretty easily by themselves.

We bought this for our grandsons 4th birthday. He absolutely loves it! The pieces are just the right size for his hands and he figured out the drill easily. Great that the drill goes forward and in reverse. He played non stop for over an hour. We will buy another like it for another grandson for Christmas.

Great toy but the power drill stopped working after half hour of use

Cheap made! Don't buy!
