Povidone-Iodine Prep Pads are a great source of first aid for cuts and abrasions. For over 150 years iodine has proven to be an effective topical antiseptic used on the skin to treat wounds. We like this particular product because it is in a gauze format rather than in a bottle. Each disposable pad is sealed in a sterile foil pack, about 2 inches square. Several foil packs can be carried in a pocket or backpack making them great for hiking, biking, and camping. We’ll plan to stash a few of these in our emergency kit in our travel trailer as they don’t take up precious space and are light weight. Also, check with your vet first, but you might be able to use these for your pets. We really like this product and highly recommend it.

Got these to put into the “in case the world ends” emergency first aid kit. I like that they’re tiny enough that you can pocket some for on the go, like for hiking or a camping trip. I like how many were in the pack. I may even get a couple more packs. Can’t be too prepared these days. Will make a great addition to any kit you want to put them in.

Good wipes, although I found a few pads that were dried out.

Mostly need scissors to open packets

Ordered these through Health and Outdoors, which I've always found reliable and friendly to deal with. These packets are easy to use and convenient. Put some in your car for those emergencies away from home. Also great for working in the garage shop where many sharp hazards reside. Easy to handle, no bottle to break, just rip the package open quickly and use. Another handy product from Health and Outdoors.

Not clear iodine. I didn't want an iodine that is reddish. Still used it a few times, saving in first aid box.

I have this in my dog first aid kit. Great for scrapes and scratches and all the way to disinfecting an open wound in the field. Really good for cleaning an injection site.
