15 months nonstop in a MiniPC (plex)
Using the drive in a MiniPC for Plex where we put family movies, etc. The MiniPC has a NVME drive for the operating system, but the 4TB hard drive is the video storage. It's been running for 15 months straight, no issues. I see that the price has gone up from 73 when I purchased it to 109 today in Julyof24 for this drive, but seeing higher drive prices across the board. This drive (and MiniPC) sit below my desk, as you can tell by the dust in the photo (they'll get a good cleaning in a few weeks). And I never hear any noise from the setup, so the drive is pretty quiet.Performance-wise, we access the videos on the drive using the Plex app on the Fire TV's in the house and haven't ever had any stutter or skipping or issues like that. The QuickSync function on the MiniPC's Intel CPU does its part to be able to serve the video to the Fire TV, but the hard drive is able to keep up just fine.Shipping was fast, good packaging, no damage, drive does a good job.The drive is slightly thick and I can see why they say that it won't fit in most laptop computers. Even in the HP MiniPC in the photo, it fit in the bracket, but I took off the top lever of the bracket so this drive would fit ok. Other than that, the drive bolted into the bracket-tray fine.

Great replacement for Tivo Bolt (and others)
Tivo is a great device except they never cool the hard drives properly and so the factory ones tend to fail early in life. Replacing it seems to be a mystery as there is all kinds of conflicting information online and many seem to say that nothing bigger than a 2TB drive will work - not so. This 4TB drives fits perfectly even though it's a lot thicker than the 500GB that came out. It self formats inside the TIVO, does through all the proper startup procedures and provides 670 hours of HD storage. Just for information purposes, I leave the small side cover off the Tivo Bolt which exposes about 60% of the hard drive and the fan. I then put a little USB powered fan behind the unit, aiming down at the hard drive. It dramatically lowers the temperature and so should extend the life considerably.

Legit Warranty
Warranty that you could actually use:1. 3 Years2. PRE-PAID return label3. NO registration required!(Just look up your Amazon order history for order number and date purchased.)I would have liked it to come with mounting screws but it does say in the description that it does not.Correct size and works great for Eufy Home Base 3 (model "S380 Home Base) expansion as stated in another review. Just unplug the Home Base 3, install the hard drive, plug it back in and Format it through the Eufy app.Operates 100% silent and way less expensive per Terabyte than other drives on Amazon. This drive came up when I searched for "Surveillance" drives. I don't see the word "Surveillance" anywhere on the drive (there was no packaging) that verified my search results were accurate. The Amazon description for uses say it would be good for my application. Non-surveillance drives CAN be used BUT they will just fail sooner than surveillance drives. Surveillance drives are built to be running 24/7 365. My Eufy Base 3 only records when there is motion so maybe not required but I would like to know I have the right drive for the application.Quality seems great so far but I've only had it installed for a few days, so time will tell.

2/4 failed the first night.
If you're like me, you figured this is a great solution to a NAS or server. I have a full 2U server at home, and wanted to run a RAID setup with parity for these.Raid was created, and kept failing. Then I decided to use windows storage spaces, which worked, but when transferring around 2TB of the files, the next morning I woke to it at 10% done and one of the drives with bad sectors in the first 17 hours. Attempt #2 with 3 drives, another failed that night. I would not trust these drives at all, even for the cheap price.

Nice
I recently purchased this hard disk from Amazon and I’m extremely satisfied with its performance. The installation was straightforward, and it has been running smoothly without any issues. The storage capacity is ample for my needs, allowing me to store all my important files and documents without worrying about running out of space. The transfer speeds are impressive, making file transfers quick and efficient. Overall, I highly recommend this hard disk for anyone in need of reliable storage solution.

Works great in TiVo Edge
I have a 2TB TiVo Edge and well it was pretty obvious the drive was going bad.Bought this 4TB drive and it works great, no special formatting needed. The first boot just took longer. It shows the 4TB and the 600+ HD hours. As another has noted, the case will not fit back snug but the new drive will be well grounded and snug in its internal mount.I use a cable card and there was no issue at all there. One point of advice, always have your cable card plugged in when you power it up, even just when testing. If you don't it will log there is no card, and then when you insert the card it will consider it "new" and you'll have to go through the setup again, and might also have to call your cable company like I did (Verizon FiOS).The screws in the TiVo case are GameBit. The best tool I found are the two size set with the green handles, they extend the socket teeth to the end (no bevel) and get a really good bite.Have fun!!

Works Perfect
I set this 4TB HDD up in a Unifi Cloud Key + and removed the original 1TB drive. This will give me about 3 weeks storage with the current cameras I have set up. Seems to be the largest HDD I can get for the small system.
