From her discovery in a furrow to becoming the prime minister of Mithila and being chosen as a Vishnu candidate, Sita's journey is both inspiring and empowering. The narrative delves into her rigorous training, strategic acumen, and unwavering commitment to dharma. Tripathi's storytelling seamlessly blends mythology with contemporary themes, offering a fresh perspective on a revered epic. This book is a compelling read for those interested in strong female protagonists and mythological retellings. Review: Amazing book having elements of women power, bravery. Loved it . - SHE IS THE WARRIOR WE NEED. THE GODDESS WE AWAIT. SHE WILL DEFEND DHARMA. SHE WILL PROTECT US. Sita Warrior Of Mithila by Amish Tripathi is the second book of The Ram Chandra Series. It is a fiction mythology book. It was published on 29th May 2017 by the Westland Ltd. The cover page of the book is very beautiful designed by Sideways having an image of Devi Sita in action holding a stick and attacking someone. The colours orange and yellow are very amazingly used, making the cover look very nice and attractive. Sita Warrior of Mithila deals with the point of view of Devi Sita. It takes a reader to a journey starting from in what circumstances Sita met Raja Janak, her life in Gurukul, becoming a warrior, identified as Vishnu, marrying Lord Rama and getting kidnapped by Raavan. A very interesting storyline focusing on Devi Sita. Author has introduced various characters and tribes in the beginning of the book. As Scion Of Ikshvaku was the starting of Modern Day Ramayana, Amish Tripathi continued the trend. The book is very beautifully penned down. The strong character of Devi Sita , Prime Minister of Mithila is shown as a brave, righteous woman. There are various relationships shown which are very heartwarming such as the mother daughter relationship between Sita and Sunaina, the relationship of friendship between Sita and Radhika etc. All the characters are very well described and I liked the emphasis given on Jatayu's character. There are few examples of the current happenings of India also in the book. The narration is very linear and is linked with Scion of Ikshvaku. There is also repetition of few instances from the first book, Scion of Ikshvaku connecting the two books. but overall the focus of the book is on women power. The book is still left with mystery about various characters. Amish Tripathi has given a modern eye to Ramayana. Overall, a very strong book having elements of bravery, women power, feminism etc. A total blend of modern society into an epic. I would highly recommend this book to everyone.

Another wonderful read. Sita
Another wonderful read. Sita, Warrior of Mithila, gives you an interesting and unexpected storyline, right from the start of the book. I found this one much better in terms of the plot and the philosophies shared, than in Scion of Ikshvaku. The story, as in Lady Sita's perspective, chronicles through the time when she was found by her adoptive parents, her childhood and the time in gurukul, realising and standing for her duties, her marriage and exile along with her husband. And it was ended with a compelling cliffhanger. I loved the way Sita's upbringing was portrayed and the importance of the wisdom taught and shared by her mother, Sunaina. Her character was shown pragmatic, which I think would complement the ways of Ram, for maintaining a proper balance. However, I was not able to appreciate the thoughts of Sita, in the story, which lead to her interests in marrying Ram. The pace of the story also falls back a little around this time, but again, quickly picks up thereafter. A conversation between Sita and Bharat about the Masculine and Feminine ways of life was well narrated and makes you think a lot. The aspect that can be appreciated most in the narration is that, even though the story is all about the female protagonist, it is never too much kind of feministy. The author never made the character victimised or as if everything is always unfair to her. He made Lady Sita a strong, dutiful and woman of wisdom. I think, that made Sita suitable for the title of Warrior.

Beautifully written and a world on its own
I have a complain; why are the books in this series getting over so fast! But that’s a good thing for the author as he has made them so enticing that I am unable to stop myself from reading! The parallel storylines, the beautiful depiction and the importance given to the female characters is certainly one of its kind. The language used is simple and sweet and purely something that has all capabilities to make images in front of us!

Good and engaging.

A radically different perspective which takes to the world of possibilities. A history forced to become a mythology because of over imagination and simplification of facts , warrior of mithila definitely with its pragmatic stand point makes me want to believe it to be true ...a definite read

Beautifully written, this book keeps you thoroughly engaged page by page. Worth the wait. As usual, some twists in the tale were unseen even to a careful reader like me. I loved it bit by bit. But what follows is a long wait for this book's successor. Sweet and fruitful wait.

O livro é interessante e divertido. Acho que o emocional dos personagens poderia ser melhor explorado em alguns trechos mas valeu a leitura.

I loved it! Fact and fiction all in one. Good writing and easy to understand. I learned a lot and it kept me interested all the way thru. I would wake up in the morning and say to myself. ... I wonder what Sita is doing today!
