High quality, thorough instructions, increased functionality.
If you have a Rove dashcam, this is well worth the money. Very thorough instructions made installation easy. This enables parking mode without worrying about discharging your battery. Comes with four different type fuse adapters; unless you’ve a very old car, it will work. The volt meter was a nice touch, as were the trim tools. The only problem I had was finding a ground under my plastic dashboard.

Great kit for the amateur
I recently purchased the ROVE Ultimate Dash Cam Hardwire Kit with USB-C Port for my R2-4K PRO dash cam, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! The installation process was an absolute breeze, even for someone like me who isn’t particularly handy with car electronics. The kit comes with everything you need—fuse taps, a voltmeter, and all necessary cables—making it incredibly user-friendly and straightforward. What really stood out were the installation instructions. They were exceptionally well-written, clear, and concise, guiding me step-by-step through the process. The included user manual is beautifully laid out, with detailed diagrams and tips, like how to locate the fuse box and identify the correct fuse slots for constant and ACC power. There’s even a YouTube video linked for visual learners, which made the whole process feel foolproof. I had the kit installed and my dash cam powered up for 24-hour parking monitoring in under an hour, with no hiccups. The quality of the kit itself is top-notch, and the low voltage protection feature gives me peace of mind that my car’s battery won’t drain. Overall, this is a fantastic product with thoughtful design and instructions that make installation a stress-free experience. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to hardwire their ROVE dash cam

Easy and quick to install!
Easy to install, cables are long and seem very durable, power gets to the camera quickly and stars the camera and gives great video quality. The power box has tons of features that match up with your vehicle and the power needs.

A great kit but don't miss this important step for automatic operation
This is a comprehensive kit, very well worth the price if you want to set up your ROVE cameras so there are no visible wires connecting to your vehicles auxiliary power ports, or if you want to keep all of your power ports free for other things. The kit has a variety of pre-made add-a-fuse taps of different sizes so should work for many different vehicles. An issue we experienced that is probably common, was a result of user error or installer error, not a defective kit. The issue we had was the camera would not automatically power on when turning the car on (starting the car, turning the key, starting the ignition, etc.) The camera would also not power off when shutting the car off, or it was random. We searched for an answer or solution on how to fix it and found many people reporting the issue. But we didn't find a solution which is why we're sharing it here. The instruction manual for the hardwire kit is very well written and thorough with a lot of diagrams and photos. Be sure to read it carefully. There is an important step when installing the always-hot or full-time power fuse and the accessory-only or part-time power fuse in that you need to test the fuse port on the circuit to see which side is the inlet (power in or hot) and which is the power out (no voltage without a fuse to bridge the circuit). We had at least one of the fuse taps installed backwards. Once we used the included voltage tester to see which side is hot and we reinstalled the fuse taps correctly, the system works as intended. The camera now powers up with the vehicle and shuts off automatically when the car is turned off. And it has the option to use the parking mode as well. Hopefully this info helps with anyone having a problem where the camera won't automatically turn on or turn off with the vehicle. We installed this kit on a 2025 Lexus NX 450 plus hybrid and the included trim pry bar tool was great for carefully opening up the seams in the rubber gaskets and the felt upholstery panels. Routing the power wire from the front camera to the fuse panel under the steering area was easy and there was excess length that we zip tied. Routing the wire from the front camera to the rear camera was a bit more challenging. The tough part was getting the cable end with mini USB connector through the molded rubber tube that is between the rear hatch door and the roof. There was still extra cable length left over which we tucked above the upholstery panel. Overall, an excellent kit.

Great product that’s missing one thing.
This is a very good item from a good company. The reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars I’ll address in a minute. The good: The kit has everything needed for installation and more! Included is a probe for testing circuits. I never had one included with any kit I used before and I’ve done a lot of auto electric circuit work over the years. The wires are plenty long with no chance of running short in any vehicle I can imagine. It comes with a variety of fuse taps for different types of fuses except the one I needed (See “The Bad”). Also included are small wire ties and cable clips for keeping the wire away from airbags if needed. Lastly it has a very thorough installation manual with reference to online videos detailing the install process. The Bad: The kit needs to be updated for late model vehicles. My 2023 GMC Sierra uses mostly Micro3 fuses which have 3 connectors, the kit includes Micro2 only. I had to order Micro3 taps directly from Rove for $10.00 as they are not available through Amazon. So Rove knows they may be needed but they didn’t add them in the kit- very curious?! Be sure to check what fuses your vehicle has before ordering. For this reason I felt 4 stars are in order. I find Rove to be a very customer service oriented company, this is becoming more rare in today’s environment.

well done
Excellent product. The hardwire kit installs cleanly, but you need to take your time during the setup—routing the cable, finding a good fuse tap, and securing everything so nothing rattles. Once installed, it works flawlessly and gives you true set-and-forget power to your dash cam. i got it with the direct to battery kit. This thing that pays for itself the moment anything happens on the road. Every car should have one and this kit makes the installation permanent comparab le tro the most expensive units., amazing

Worth the Price
My mom bought me the R2-4K kit for Christmas, and when I saw this as an optional add-on on the back of the box, I ordered it. It was on sale for $30, and I think that that is a pretty fair price for what you get. The only tools I needed to use outside of what was included in the kit were a pair of wire strippers and a socket. I know my way around cars, but it is very easy to install, even if you aren't car savvy. I really like that you can set it up to where the cameras turn off if your battery falls below whatever option you set it at. I drive a 2020 Corolla SE and the cables were all more than long enough in this kit, as well as the R2-4K kit. If you don't want to take up your car cigarette lighter port or type C port in your car and/or want to use the 24 hours parking monitor on your Rove dash cam, buy this, it is worth it.

Works perfectly for 2017 Honda Pilot
Great quality. Great instructions. I thought it would be more complicated but the instructions and the included fuse adapters cover 4 standard types of fuses used in most cars sold in America. The included fuse puller was essential to remove the fuses and the little tester was also essential. It had everything i need to get the job done. I highly suggest using ChatGPT to ask it to detail out a list of all your fuses, positions, labels, and whether or not the fuse it ACC or constant power. It returned and instant result, saving me hours of frustrating searching. For the 2017 Honda Pilot, there are 2 fuse boxes by the drivers feet, the larger box A with 42 fuses and the smaller box B with 7 fuses, A-G. For the Accessory power (yellow), i used the unused fuse slot 42 in Box A, and for the constant power, i used the 10A slot F fuse in the smaller fuse box B. Make sure to measure which side of the fuse slot is hot. I attached the ground wire to the bolt the emergency brake frame screws into the chassis with. After I got it all wired up, everything was erring out on my car's dash panel. Simply unplugging the ground from the battery for 15 minutes resets all the computer stuff in the car and everything work perfectly. For wire routing, I stuffed the cord across the headliner and down the driver side front pillar. I mounted the wiring harness box on the frame with the included adhesive behind the hood release plastic cover. Everything is super hidden and protected.
