Lock-Jaw Flex Quick Release Aluminum Barbell Collar with Magnet (Black)

At first one was very tight & a little tough to get on/off both with the lever & sliding it on. After a week or two of heavy use however, the plastic mechanism snapped off(see picture) which made it much more smooth. Still 5 stars because besides that I don't think it has effected performance. Probably going to pick up another pair of these. Once you try magnets on your collars you probably won't want to go back

Military grade!!!!

I just got these in yesterday and used them today for the first time and initial impressions are good. They lock down on the bar good and tight. The one had release is actually a pretty nice feature to have. My only complaint is that the magnet on side could be a little stronger. It sticks to the rack but sometime I would put it on and it would slide down a little. Not off but down and it would stop and stay there. But overall I like it.

I would give them a 0 if it were possible. I had very high expectations and they were immediately destroyed with their performance. I tried using them with a Rogue Ohio bar and a Bells of Steel rackable curl bar. The collars wouldn't fit the sleeves no matter what I tried to insert them. To make matters worst, the magnets were so weak that they wouldn't even have any pull towards the power rack, bars or plates. The only good thing I could say about them is that they look well constructed.

I bought these collars hoping they would be magnetic to stay out of the way and stick to racks. I knew I should not have gone with something off Amazon for this. These are below average collars with a tiny magnet on one edge of a pentagon( not all of the edges, just one). There isn’t even a magnet on the sides to lay them flat against a rack or weight plate. When I first opened them I thought they sent me the wrong item because they wouldn’t stick to other objects. I had to play around with it just to find out where the magnet was, which completely misses the point of having magnetic collars. I’d return them but I am not sure where the packaging went because I didn’t think I would need it. Very misleading description. I would keep them if they were even decent collars but they are not. I will throw them out where they belong.

The magnet broke after using it 3 times. I reached out to the manufacturer but didn't get a response yet. It's been 3 days so not expecting one. If the magnet didn't break I would have given it 5 stars since the collars are great.Just received a response from Lock Jaw. Reached out April 10th to try and fix the issue and got a reply back on May 26th. They offered a refund but that does seem like a long time to respond. Amazon already replaced it and the new one works great.

I will say they hold great. However, the magnet broke within the first 5 minutes. So, not impressed so far. We will see how the second set works. I have requested to send them back for a new pair. Hopefully the 2nd pair will not brake.Asheville, NC
