PROfreshionalsJumbo Fruit Slicer

I have owned one of these slicers since I first saw it years ago in a kitchen store. It was one of my favorite and most used of my hundreds of gadgets. Unfortunately when I moved and my kitchen was downsized tremendously the slicer did not appear at my new location therefore sitting somewhere in a box one of several of other kitchen items in storage. I immediately purchased another as with my disability I’m able to use this easily without cutting myself which is a problem when trying to use a knife or other sharp items as I don’t have the proper control thus requiring help which isn’t always readily available to me.Not only can it be used for melons as shown in its ad but can also be used to slice other items in equal shape and size due to its sharpness and sturdiness plus it comes in different sizes to accommodate your needs. I do recommend to be very careful especially when washing and storing as it is extremely sharp. This is one item that I was able to continue to use myself when my disability occurred especially since it requires two hands and can be more equally balanced than a single hand item such as a knife. I would never be without one at least since first discovering it. I was so happy to find one on Amazon on sale and received it the very next day. I highly recommend it and you too will find more uses for it that originally anticipated.

It’s to flimsy and blades are dull

This one is the right size for those custom watermelons or the like smaller cantaloupes or muskmelons if they're smaller what I like about it is it's much sturdier than the larger one I got it doesn't feel like it's going to flex or break I did end up breaking the handle on the larger one sometimes the rind if it's really really tough can really take some pressure to get through but the end result is awesome nice slices that are easy to pick up and eat and that promotes you eating more of this stuff which means less of something else that might not be as healthy

This device was disappointing. It takes a man's strength to push it through a melon.

We have used it for a personal watermelon & it worked great!

Perfect for both watermelon and cantaloupe. Very sturdy

Was excited to use this larger slicer on cantaloupe and watermelon. Too small for most watermelon. Just right for cantaloupe. However, after a few uses, realized the metal wedges were bent from use. Slices come out odd shaped now due to the bends. Metal just too flimsy.

It didn’t work on melon.
