History of the American dream..A story that is relevant now.

Good DC-3 history piece, but there are several others on the market that are better. The author credited many Delta images to his own collection that were copyright Delta, and did not credit the Delta Museum. Need to do better next time!

Awesome and I love the Douglas DC-3, I grew up flying the DC-3's and I have flown on them so many time.

The DC3 is a legend in aviation circles and this tone gives us a good overall history of it.I liked the discription of the conversion to turboprop . Its a lot more involved than just bolting on turbines. However the one star held back was for page89 which is about the DC2 and a half. A DC3 with a DC2 starboard wing fitted after bomb damage in 1941. According to the picture caption it ''flew quite well''. But in the main text it was -''.. a handful to fly''.Other than that very good and brings home the saying that the only replacement for a DC3 is another DC3.And with restored examples appearing after restoration from hulks it would appear this is true.

This is an excellent DC3 book written by a very knowledgable author. It is full of excellent photos and very interesting and authoritative text.

Very interesting and informative. A detail description of the history of an amazing aeroplane in its many incarnations. It has tempted me to go on my own personal pilgrimage in search of remaining examples.
