Good offline Noom reference
I got this so I can read/re-read the various topics and lessons that Noom teaches, vs having to go back and find them on the app. It's goof for that. My only issues with Noom is their writing style. I get that they are trying to make it fun, and light hearted, but the humor is just a little much for my liking. I'd rather have more meat, i.e. actual content about the science principles that guide weight loss, and not quite so much silliness.

Save your money on the app and buy the book!
There is no list of authors for this book which is a bit odd but the book does seem to be a huge conglomeration of other peoples work all summed up. The bibliography for this book is over 30 pages long! There are some good insights and I did have a few "aha" moments from this book. I have gone thru the Noom program and read the book. Customer service is a bit of a nightmare with Noom, so I would definitely buy the book over dealing with the app and save money and frustration.

I use the Noom app on my phone but the book is great because you can switch around and read more in depth.

Rational steps to reach goals
The theories, logic and methods described in NOOM work. Reading the book is helping me see the importance of naming goals for the big picture and breaking those down to attainable steps. I weigh half the weight I carried in 2006. NOOM the book is helping me understand that I alone am in charge of my goals. Everyone has to watch what they eat. must set my own goals and sub steps and encourage my good habits while accepting that if I over eat I am not a bad person. The book clearly explains that a less than healthy choice is a glitch in the big picture, not a trending habit. Losing weight did not make me a better person. I will use the ideas presented in NOOM to help me set goals to make good new habits will help me be the person I want to be.

The app is too slow. I read this book in 2 days.
Here's the thing. 1. I LOVED the lessons and the information in the app, but the tracking was sub-par and the coaching was non existent. 2. The problem though was that it limited me to how much I could read of the lessons each day. This book is exactly what I wanted. Lays out all the tools for me to read through and review and then read again and then implement them into my life. I've already started losing weight again, found my motivation, and seeing good results towards my goals. If you approach this book with at least a little effort and honestly try to understand how it applies to your habits, goals, and outcomes, then it's worth reading through.

I've been a member of Noom for a long time and this book is very beneficial for anyone who is interested in the psychological aspects of habits or addiction in order to make a change in your life.

very knowegable, and amazing book
I loved the book and the Noom lose weight app program. Both are easy and knowegable and it works!They cater to individuals needs and helps explain why each are different. And why some lose and others not. They use mindset knowledge in stand of telling you to eat, weight or how to eat. I am amazed. Must have book.

The Noom diet without the app
This book is the Noom diet, without the app. It’s the psychology of the plan. A great reference, but I wonder how effective it will be without the daily weigh in, food logging, water control etc. of the programme on the app.I have done Noom (6st. Lost) and the book will be a great reference for refreshing points when needed.

Get started with an inspirational rethink for your eating.
I have the Noom app on my phone but it’s helpful to have a printed version of the insights, tips, advice and science that you can dip into or refresh yourself with whenever you want. I’m a visual learner so seeing the printed page helps me embed the guidance in my head. The psychological approach to teaching your weight-loss goal is so helpful (even if you’re a veteran dieter and think you know it all!) and the book is serious science yet very readable and encouraging.

Excellent book
Excellent book. Definitely recommend. I’ve been reading it as an accompaniment to the app and it’s been brilliant. Loving noom and all the psychology.
