This product is amazing! My pool has never been this blue. We recently had a tropical storm come through our area dumping massive amounts of rain which caused an ugly mustard algae bloom. I must have dumped 5 gallons of chlorine into it over the course of a week and the algae wouldn't budge - it actually got worse. In desperation, I ordered this product. We put 14 fluid ounces in immediately. It lightened up the pool, but there was still some algae present, so we added the rest of the 32 ounce bottle the next day. Overnight the algae disappeared and the pool got even bluer as time went on.There is currently no chlorine left in the pool and it is still blue with no signs of algae. I put the last of the product in on Monday and today is Friday. This product works miracles. I wish I had known about it sooner as I could have saved myself a ton of money and grief.Other users have mentioned having trouble with foam. We have had zero foam. The only thing I can think is maybe the product is interacting with other chemicals present in their water, because we have had no foam and we used the whole bottle.Excellent product. I highly recommend for stubborn algae problems.

I've tried many different brands of algaecide, but this is the only one that actually keeps my pool clear of algae! It works fast and effectively, preventing any buildup and keeping the water crystal clear. I no longer have to deal with stubborn green or yellow algae like I did with other products.If you're tired of wasting money on algaecides that don’t work, I highly recommend giving this one a try. It’s a game-changer for pool maintenance!

My experience has been that this product works for 3-4 months minimum per application, which is awesome in my opinion. If it's not working like that, your have other issues with the chemistry in your pool that you need to address first. I also, unfortunately, know this from experience. Get your total alkalinty, calcium hardness, and chlorine stabilizer levels right and this stuff will work for ages. I've had a week here and there where I was lazy about chlorine, and it dropped pretty low but I still didn't get ANY algae, which was an issue before I started using this stuff.This review is specifically for HTH 67289 (the "Ultra", not the "Advanced") which contains copper sulfate, the magic ingredient.

Greatest stuff on planet earth!Clear, Clean Water!It was cloudy all summer, if there’s white algae, couldn’t get rid of it, end of summer found this and dumped 2 bottles into the pool and crystal clear!Bought more and am ready for this summer!

I have used HTH products before. I tried a few other name brands that went on sale. I have had over 5 homes with pools. The constant adding chemicals and monitoring is a nightmare during hot months. This Algae Guard from HTH is amazing. 90+ days and no need of adding any algae or clarifier. Chlorine tablets only . Water Clarity and PH are perfect. I thought a little pricy at first but it actually last 3 months. Great Product
