As described this is a central heating pump valve. The product is sturdy and well made. After some preparation removing the old pump valve and replacing it with this and attaching it to the new pump was a reasonably easy job for a professional.

OK so you want to replace your central heating pump. You turn off the isolating valves and yes they start to leak as the washers have gone rusty or the whole thing is seized. So you have to rush out and get new ones! The ones to replace then with are these. They are gate valves which lower a brass "drawbridge" valve to shut the water off. You may choose to buy a tap handle too as a spanner can be fiddly. Finally these are slightly larger than the other ones so one of the pipe connections may need cutting back and the olive cutting off.
