Width in tech details is wider than the official espressif esp32-s3 devkitc-1. in a standard breadboard is a row of holes available on each side?

I haven’t gotten to do too much with mine yet, but yes it is a bit wide, however for the amount of available pins and 2 USB C ports one of which for UART this is a great configuration. In a standard 10(5x2) column breadboard a-e & f-j this is 9 columns wide, so you would only have 1 row available on a single side. Solutions online seem to be to get an oversized breadboard with multiple smaller breadboards attached together with a single bus bar between them. Or to take a second breadboard, remove the bus bar from one side and put them next to each other and have the pins from the ESP-32 in 2 breadboards next to one another. Or for a really hack way split the breadboard down the middle and separate the 2) 5pin halves and you can adjust the number column of pins you need.

Is the Vin on 5v or is there a range like 5v-12v that it can take?

What do the IN-OUT and USB-OTG solder pads do? When should i bridge these pads?

IN solder pads is for 5vin port,default is to do external power supply input after shorting and output keep 5V,USB is the type-c port on the left side of the module,The default is to press the boot button to display the serial port,After shorting, it will display the serial port after normal power on.

Can you please point me to a pinout of this specific device ? info in which gpio's are attached to onboard leds and buttons appreciated too.

I've been abusing these little boards for a few weeks now and they're still going strong. These units have some added QoL like 2 USB ports, USB-OTG one scratch enable, lots of pins. Good units

It took me a while to figure this all out. Hope this helps you. From factory, it comes with flash all blank. Needs to have circuitpython and/or bootloader installed. It has 2 usb ports. One is labeled "com" and the other "usb." First connect to the "com" port, and use esptool.py to flash the "combined.bin" UF2 bootloader, that is downloadable from the circuitpython download page for this device. Then swap the cable to the "usb" port, and the UF2 bootloader will make a removable drive available to your computer. Copy the circuitpython UF2 file, which is also downloadable from the circuitpython site for this device. The device will reboot, and you'll have the full circuitpython experience. If you need to re-flash at a later time, to upgrade circuitpython, press Reset, and then quickly while the light is purple, press Boot. This will take you to bootloader mode, which will allow you to replace the circuitpython UF2 file.
