Paris in Intimate Glory
Marvellous. A lovely, intimate and warm review of a tiny piece of Paris. Humour is ever present, giving it all a special touch. The photography is magnificent. This is truly an all-rounder and one can't wait for more.....

Authentic and delightful!
How to spend a Parisian's day in Paris, not necessarily with a Parisian's perspective but with the soul of a tourist willing to wander to the entrancing, lesser-known corners of the City of Light. Things go right, things may go a bit wrong, but always there is something of the authentic Paris to experience and consider. I read a snatch and look at a few photos when I pick up my Kindle, instantly transported to my visits of the past and reinforced in my plans to visit Paris in the future. As the French would say, this book is a "petit bijou" - a little gem.

I eagerly bought this edition and was sorely disappointed. To me
I purchased the first two Paris Journals from iTunes. They were both lovely sets of photographs (and the occasional video) all taken in one neighborhood over the course of a day. No words. I eagerly bought this edition and was sorely disappointed. To me, the accompanying text intruded on the photos and I had no interest in identifying with the narrator, as I gather we are supposed to do. Loved the former format, but I'll pass on these from now on.

Paris Remembered
This was a two page review but I decided to focus on the essence of this book. It's best read if you have already visited Paris. After reading it I said " Yeah ! It was like that. " After your first visit to Paris, when asked what it was like, did you finish your answer with " ...the next time I go..."? Reading this short lyrical book may prompt you to get up and out earlier to appreciate the sun's progress along the roofs and facades of Paris. Or you might linger longer at an outside table and imagine the lives of the people around you. You will do more than just see. You will watch. You will be prepared for " the next time".

Fixed Font Too Small
I wish I had taken the review by Biondina seriously. It is correct -- the print is too small and cannot be adjusted on the Kindle. The font and size are fixed. It is true that the screen can be quartered and each segment enlarged so that a line can be read by shifting back and forth and up and down among segments -- the worst reading experience since the development of scrolling for monitor screens. I gave the book 2 stars because the photographs are excellent.

A new spin on travel writing!
A witty and unique book-part travel, part humor, and a whole lot of fiction. Each of these components add up to a really delightful read! We join an anonymous woman on her day through Paris as a voyeur to her voyeurism. The traveler creates a story for those she observes on a realistic and detailed walk through Paris. One could recreate her journey. The pictures are beautiful and add a richness to a story that can stand alone. I read it in one sitting but I frequently pick up and turn to favorite sections.

Like walking around Paris with your best friend
I came across Nichole and Evan's work on Etsy (through their sites, Paris In Colour and Obvious State) and just love their work. Intelligent, humourous, insightful and, most wonderfully human. Dipping into The Paris Journal is like sharing a conversation with a friend while you walk around Paris....and the photographs pick up the things you do when in a strange place on holiday - and are so beautifully composed. It's obvious a lot of care, thought and hard work has gone into this and I'm so glad it's (finally!) available on Kindle! If you have always dreamed of going to Paris, buy this book. If you have been to Paris and want to be reminded of what it's like to wander through the mythical morning streets marvelling that you're actually there, buy this book. If you want a holiday in your seat (on your commute, at your desk, on a weekend), buy this book! It's a truly lovely thing to have in your life.(PS: I don't know the writers, I have simply come across their work and am a huge fan of it.)
